So, there was way too much of the baseball game in this episode. And they made way too big of a deal about Quinn being overly tanned. I really thought it was going to lead to something. Also, I could have totally done without Chase and Alex being a thing.
And, as much as I love that Brooke and Julian are getting a happy ending, I know myself well enough to be panicked every time they are on screen until she gives birth and they are both okay. Also, I think this was a really fun way to announce it. Initially, I was annoyed about why Clay taking a hit was permeating through this episode, but I think the ends totally justified the means here. Brooke is pregnant! How did this happen? I don't even care. All I care about is that she is, she's happy, and they are staying to raise their child in Tree Hill. If this all works out, I can die happy.
We've also got the guys discussing about how it probably was Ian who was driving the car. Nathan confronts the elder Kellerman about it, and he basically admits that he's covering for his son, because that's what's parents do. Nathan and Clay aren't sure how to handle it, so they end up deciding to let Julian take the lead (since, you know, Ian almost killed his wife).
They take him back to the bridge where they start badgering him about how awful what he did was. He finally confesses, but claimed he had no choice but to drive away because he had scouts coming to see him. Clay loses his temper first and tackles him over the bridge. Julian is not far behind and repeatedly drowns him. Eventually, it looks like Nathan is going to take pity on him and help him out of the water, but ends up punching him instead. It's all very satisfying.
Ian fires them as his agent (I'm sure they were going to drop anyway) and I hope we never see that asshole again. But, for how awful he was, that's how lovely his dad turned out to be. He and Nathan end up with a little heart to heart and I do hope that he ends up back on the show at some point.
