One Tree Hill 8X19: Where Not to Look For Freedom

So we're back to the Kellerman mystery. I immediately thought it was Ian. I don't know why they all assumed it was the older Kellerman. But then I thought I was wrong. Then I figured he was covering for his son, which seems to be the case.

I really thought Julian might try to kill him in the episode and he'd finally meet his demise. (I do not want this to happen. I love Julian. But I'm convinced he's not going to make it through this series alive).

Anyway, Nathan confronts him about the hit and run and he denies. Later (I assume maybe after he spoke to his son), be admits wrongdoing and offers to pay all expenses, and apologizes. He asks the cops not to get involved, but he understands if they want to call them. Nathan relays this to Julian, who is livid. He then confronts Kellerman and he apologizes, but is kind of dismissive and flippant about Julian's feelings. Julian seemed perplexed and just leaves.

Meanwhile, Brooke gets a job offer from Clothes Over Bros. They want her back as vice president, as well as designing (and the money is great). But, the job is in New York. She and Julian discuss it and they both think leaving might be the best option for them right now. As much as I am loathe to agree (I selfishly want to keep them here), I kind of think it probably is the right decision for them. Are they actually going to go? I have no idea, but it's probably healthy for their characters.

We find out the River Court is being demolished to put up condos and everyone is upset. Millie is going to try to do a story about it on the news. Alex opens for a band at Tric.

But, the real kicker, is when Ian, Nathan, and Clay are having drinks, Ian treats them to the only bourbon he drinks, the name of the one in the car (I have no idea what it's called), and Nathan seems to be putting two and two together.

Yes...we are back to the Kellerman mystery, and good job of never being fooled, lol. I always thought it was pretty obvious myself that it was Ian all along, hehe. But we finally get to see Nathan put the pieces together, after he thinks it was his professor and brings Jamie to his class to mess with him, lol. That whole exchange was funny though, especially Jamie telling Haley about it later on, hehe. And all the Haley/baby Lydia stuff is adorable, especially the Nathan/Jamie stuff enamored with the newest Scott. Them watching her and playing with her never gets old, hehe. And if you don't like country music, then you probably won't be the biggest fan of Alex's music, or Jana Kramer for that matter, but she's done fairly well for herself as a country artist, and OTH for sure helped her realize her musical dream and achieve it...so props to her. Also liked the rivercourt stuff with Nathan and Jamie when they first realized the plans to turn the court into condos and then Professor Kellerman shows up to talk with Nathan, and we get some more insight into him. And props to James for wearing that wheelchair shirt for his friend. It was fitting for Nathan's character no doubt, but it was a personal choice that James made to raise money for his buddy. They sold those shirts online to help out his friend....and it worked. And then we get the lightbulb moment for Nathan at the end with Ian buying them all drinks, and it's revealed that he only drinks Phidian's bourbon, and Nathan realizes that it was indeed him. Like I said, this was a poorly executed mystery, lol, but at least now the characters are clued in, hehe.
