9-1-1 7X7: Ghost of a Second Chance

Oh god. This episode really got to me. I mean, most of this show does, but it seems particularly bad today. I think it was Maddie that really did me in. For whatever reason, Maddie crying kills me.

So, we get a 9-1-1 call about a women who has been abducted with her baby. She's speaking with Maddie in code, and eventually, he catches on, gets upset, and crashes the car. However, when the 118 show up, the only person in the car is the woman. Both dude and baby are gone.

After some detective work, we find out that this guy was stalking her. We also find out that his family left him (you know, cause he's horrible) and it seems like he's trying to make a replacement family.

We eventually track him down to a park, where he's abducted another woman to be the mom to this stolen baby. However, while he's driving away, he collides, coincidentally, with a police car. The 118 shows up, and Chim realizes this is the guy (Maddie has been torturing herself listening to the 9-1-1 call) and when he realizes Chim knows, he tosses the baby and runs. Thankfully, Buck tackles him and hands him over to Athena.

The baby is fine, and they find the abducted woman, unharmed, in the trunk of the car. Bobby brings the baby to the mother at the hospital for a reunion. Also, the doctor (nurse?) who's been watching him seems to take a liking to Bobby. I'm guessing maybe he wants to switch professions?

Also, Eddie is cheating on Marisol with some lady he thinks looks like Shannon. I don't see it. I suspect this is the same actress, but they don't look anything alike to me. Either way, just break up with Marisol. It's fine if you wanna date this woman, but not when you are already dating someone else.

Oh, and Hen and Karen manage to get Mara a visit from her brother and we finally get to see that girl happy.
