Arrow 5X9: Invasion

So, we've found ourselves in this weird shared hallucination where we are kind of all living our best lives. At least, those of us who are in these pods.

Oliver is living the life he thought he would have had if he didn't get on the Gambit with his dad. His parents are alive and happy, he and Laurel are about to get married, Thea is thriving and in a good relationship with Malcolm, John is the Hood, and Sara is just happy.

However, we keep getting little flashes of reality, and Oliver is the first to think something is amiss. He can't figure out what's going on, but he knows something isn't right. He heads down the the Arrow cave where Felicity alerts John that an intruder is here. Oliver tries to tell John that things are not right, but John doesn't listen. However, not long after, John finds him and starts to agree with him. Then they get attacked, and Sara runs over and beats the guy up. She's surprised since she doesn't know how to fight. So, she's on board now.

They approach Ray and he is immediately like, yeah, this is weird. It takes zero convincing to get him on board. (And also, he's engaged to Felicity). But Thea is the problem. She knows she's in this hallucination, but she wants to stay. She's happy. Her parents are happy. Life is good for her there. She does eventually come around, but Oliver was totally going to let her stay. I think that's growth for him.

After they fight there way through a bunch of bad guys, they find the portal that gets them back to reality. However, they are on an alien ship. The somehow manage to get into some pod ship and try to fly away, but no one knows how to fly and they are being chased and shot at, but like, 100 other pod ships.

Thankfully, down on Earth, Felicity figures out exactly where they are and sends the Legends (who I guess have their own space ship?) to rescue them. So, now we're on another ship in space. And this ship has some kind of translator that tells us the aliens are almost finished with the weapon. That's not ominous at all.
