So things are quickly getting worse with Michael's new cellmate. He's obsessed with finding the hidden pattern in Michael's tattoos. And since that pattern is actually the layout of the prison Michael is trying to escape from, it's making Michael nervous. He asks the warden for help getting a new cellmate, but he clams everything has to go through asshole guard. But, when asshole guard finds out Michael tried to go around him, he's none too thrilled and steps on his cut off toes. However, he does miss Michael stealing some chemicals, so he's got that going for him.
Michael manages to get ahold of two separate chemicals that he knows will combine to make a corrosive and eat through the foundation of the building. He squeezes those down the grate in the infirmary (apparently this is why he needs to get to the infirmary all the time- it's close to the outside walls of the prison and they have the weakest security) and we watch the pipes start to erode a bit.
Things have escalated with Haywire. He's managed to basically draw the entirety of Michael's tattoos and is putting them together. Michael bashes his head a couple of times on the bars of his cell and calls a guard. Haywire is ranting about mazes and pathways so they assume he's crazy and did it and take him away.
Meanwhile, Sucre finds out that Maricruz is leaving him for Hector, so he tells Michael he wants back in the plan. Once Haywire gets removed, Sucre comes back as his cellmate. This means Sucre is the lookout and Michael can get a lot more accomplished. By the end of the episode, he's managed to bust through the cinderblock behind the sink.
On the outside, Veronica tries to take up Lincoln's case with those lawyers who work with innocent people on death row, but they refuse to take the case. However, one of the lawyers in the meeting has always had nagging issues with the case and agrees to help.
However, at the end, we get some secret service guys realizing that Michael and Lincoln are brothers and rather than let anything happen, they just decide to transfer Michael to another prison. I assume we'll be dealing with that next episode.
How long did Michael work on this plan before he get himself into prison. This must have taken years.
