9-1-1 6X15: Death and Taxes

Am I the only one who thought this episode was going to end with Chim proposing? I'm not upset that it didn't happen, but It would have been nice since Maddie was concerned this was one sided. But also, if you've watched me react to proposals before, you should 100% know a yes is coming. The proposal should be a surprise; not the fact that you are planning on doing it.

So, both Maddie and Chim get audited for tax fraud. Apparently, they both claimed head of household, and Jee as a dependent. Totally honest mistakes by both, but it prompts them to contact an accountant who tells them that things would be much simpler (and cheaper) if they just got married. But afterwards, neither of them bring it up. Maddie is afraid that Chim will think she's pressuring him. However, Chim is already busy looking at engagement rings.

Athena ends up with a crazy case. She's assisting on a warrant arrest (I'm pretty sure that's not what it's called, but you guys know). When they get the guy in custody, he ends up going unconscious. Athena can't figure out how it happened and she is obsessed with figuring it out. She goes to the morgue and finds out that the guy in the morgue is NOT the guy she arrested who died.

Turns out, there was a whole crazy sequence of events. The guy took some blood pressure meds when he realize he was gonna be arrested so he'd pass out a few minutes later. Once he woke up in the hospital, he switched his bracelet with a corpse so people would think he was dead. But he just snuck back into his house to retrieve the money he stole. But as soon as he incriminates himself, Athena shows up and arrests him. But once in custody, he passes out AGAIN. But this time, they can't bring him back.

Buck ends up connecting with a woman he met at a call. She's an end-of-life doula (that might be the wrong title, but it's close. She's obsessed with the fact that he died. And he's pretty interested in what she does for a living too. Maybe they will end up dating? She's got really great hair.

And Eddie and Christopher have a lot of really lovely moments this episode. I hope we can get Christopher in more episodes. He's really a scene stealer.
