Sons of Anarchy 1X13: The Revelator

OMG. This was so good. Heather, I cannot thank you enough for sponsoring this. It's incredible. This first season was amazing.

Okay, so, we've got guilt all around. Opie feels like it's his fault Donna died because he got back in with the club. Tig feels awful because he messed up by not checking first. He was afraid if he saw Opie he wouldn't be able to pull the trigger, so he just fired. Clay feels guilty because he ordered the hit on Opie in the first place, and now everyone knows that he wasn't the witness. And Tara feels guilty about her and Jax getting away with murder. (It seems like that's gotta come around again soon).

Piney is hell bent on getting revenge, so he heads over to a Niner bar. On Jax's orders, Prospect follows him and ends up in a shitty situation. Thankfully, he's able to call Jax and he comes down and sorts it out. However, the Niners swear they had nothing to do with it. And they make a pretty convincing argument for Jax. Now he's suspicious. Later, Hale tells him he thinks that Clay put out the hit on Opie because bitch lady set him up. Now, he's even more suspicious.

Eventually, he talks to Clay about it, who denies it. But neither he or Gemma are happy with where Jax's head is at right now.

Then we find out the witness is just a 17 year old. Oh, and Tig is already on his way to kill her. As Jax finds out, he races up to the safe house. Just before he gets there, Tig and the others discovers she's just a kid too and take a moment to figure out what to do. One of them (Maybe Happy?) offers to do it for Tig, but Tig declines. Just as he's about to shoot her, Jax barges in and tell him if he shoots her, Jax shoots him. The don't kill women (I feel like and children should go here, but I don't think he actually said that). Jax intimidates her out of testifying, and she runs off. Then, Jax and Tig have it out. It seems like Jax won pretty easily, and I wonder if Tig let him beat on him because he is still feeling guilty about Donna.

Afterwards, Jax gets drunk in the cemetery and wakes up just as the funeral for Donna is starting. He walks over (while Tara meets him with his jacket, they kiss, and neither Wendy or Gemma looks about about it), places a rose on the casket (while shooting death glares at Clay and Tig) and goes to sit on a headstone. Later, Piney comes up to him and gives him another (or different? I think it's the same one though) copy of his dad's book, and tells Jax it's time for a change. Clay and Gemma watch this and they look nervous as hell.

If all of this happened in S1, I cannot imagine what we're getting for S2. I'm super hyped about it though.

Comments

I loved this episode as much as I loved the last one, just in a different way. It was very Jax driven. A lot of character building. I loved his scenes with Tara at the hospital, Piney with the Niners, Hale at the station, Clay in church, Tig at the safehouse, and the ending scene with him at the cemetery. Good stuff! Looking forward to next season!

Sabrina

Jax also had that but survived it . Fuck genetics

C. J. Ramirez

She is. I mean she did try to kill Wendy in the pilot. I just didn't care about Wendy.

Heather

She is but in her own way cause they aren’t the same category

C. J. Ramirez

He always blames the “blacks” I think he might be racist just like piney only ones that are

C. J. Ramirez

Yep, it was obv Jax didn't believe Clay. He knew he did it before he asked him that question. Jax was trying to see if he would man up and tell him the truth.

Heather

I don't think Gemma is Clay level horrible. I'm not sympathic to him at all. I'm not a fan of Gemma enabling Clay or her behavior towards Tara, but I like her character as well. She's all about her family, so you can see her motivations, even if it comes off as ridiculous at times. She certainly would not have approved of Opie getting killed.

Heather

On another note, I hated that Clay was framing the Niners. Can you imagine what would have happened if Piney killed Laroy? "Each savage event was a catalyst for the next. And by the time the violence reached epic proportion I couldn't see it." -JT

Heather

Jax also knew that Clay lied to him when he asked man to man

C. J. Ramirez

I don’t know you but I love you fr

C. J. Ramirez

Do another sons episode lol a week instead

C. J. Ramirez

Ooh. I didn't pick up on the fact that Piney suspected as well. That makes it so much more layered. I'm super conflicted about Gemma. I love her character. But also, she's pretty horrible. But also, kinda, not? But to be honest, these kind of morally gray characters are usually my favorite.

Dana Licciardello

Oh, Heather. You're a god damn delight.

Dana Licciardello

I 100% missed that. Sad,

Dana Licciardello

Yeah, he was sitting on his brother's headstone, Thomas Teller. In the pilot it was mentioned that he died of a heart defect when he was little.

Heather

Gemma does know now that Jax read his father's book, so she has someone else to blame for Jax's behavior. Also, she knows that Jax knows about the Donna mistake and that it was Clay's fault. Both of those things were listed in her conversation with Clay, so maybe they surpass Tara. Like you said she has bigger things to worry about, JT's words and Clay's actions.

Heather

Yes, I plan to sponsor it for awhile. 😊

Heather

Both Jax and Piney believed Laroy. Obv Jax has info from Hale and knows more, but I'm sure Piney also suspects the club was involved. That's the reason he gives Jax JT's book. (Yes, it's the same book.) Piney doesn't like where the club is headed. JT saw this. He's hoping JT's words will get Jax to see the same, that the club needs to change. Ofc Piney doesn't know Jax already read the book and has been coming to the same conclusion.

Heather

I don't know what I'm gonna do when OTH ends. I'm already freaking out about it. What could possibly compare? I'm down to 35 episodes. How is that possible?!?

Dana Licciardello

Oh, that's so sad. Also, I'm re-uploading the video now. It should be up within the hour. I'm annoyed that I messed that up. Grrrr.

Dana Licciardello

It’s way shorter than OTH lol

C. J. Ramirez

Jax was at his fathers grave his name John teller and yes his little brother passed even he was young.

C. J. Ramirez

I hope so too. This is a sponsored show, so I'm at the mercy of them. But we're gonna be okay for a little while at least I think. 🤞

Dana Licciardello

Oh that's annoying. I'm 90% sure I know what happened. But I'm not gonna be able to fix it until tomorrow. Sigh.

Dana Licciardello

I thought I was deaf or my phone wasn’t working but you had it mute for the first 3 min🤣

C. J. Ramirez

Hope you keep this show going only gets better not one bad season
