Arrow 5X1: Legacy

So, this seemed like a fun start to the season. We've got a bunch of crooked cops, which means it will be difficult to get help from the police this season. Even though Quentin pointed out a couple of good ones for us, one of them already got attacked by not Green Arrow at the end of this episode.

And speaking of Quintin, he and Donna have broken up and he's back to drinking again. Sigh.

It looks like the band may have officially broken up. At least for the time time being. When Oliver is kidnapped, Thea does (very reluctantly) suit up to go get him back. But during which, she saw Oliver kill one of his captors, and she was all, 'I can't go back down this road again, I'm out.' Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but we've 100% been killing people this whole time. Even when Oliver was committed to not killing, he was constantly killing. Between shooting henchmen with arrows, and John shooting everything that moved with his gun, people are dying every episode. But either way, Oliver has decided that killing is back on the menu. He feels like if he had just killed Darhk when he had the chance, Laurel would be alive.

It's been months that Oliver has been trying to play mayor and vigilante, and he's being stretched thin. Felicity comes up with a bunch of people that she thinks they might recruit for a new team, but Oliver is adamant that he's not bringing anyone else on. Felicity argues that the two of them can't do it alone. But Oliver is convinced that eventually Thea and John will come back. By the end of the episode he agrees to try some recruits. Felicity and Curtis have already decided they want Wild Dog. (This vigilante that keeps showing up where Arrow is and trying to help, but Oliver keeps telling him to stop.

In addition, Curtis says he'd like to join the team as well. No idea what he's going to do. Now, to be fair, he asked this right after he got mugged (or jumped, I can't remember which exactly) so he might be looking for Oliver to teach him to fight. Or he might just wanna help in a Felicity capacity.

Felicity has a boyfriend. I hate it. But, is this the detective from the beginning of the episode? Is he one of the crooked cops? I can't tell. (Don't tell me if I'm not supposed to know yet, but I feel like they've told me and I just didn't get it. Lol.) Again, I want Felicity to be happy, but I'd like it best if she was happy with Oliver!
