9-1-1 6X10: In a Flash

So, I was very confused when this episode started. How in the world did they get so much done on that Murder House in a week? But, turns out, it's been 4 months since the last episode.

Anyway, Maddie and Chim are having her parents, Albert, and Buck over for dinner. They spent some time preparing for their arrival and are determined not to let them upset them. However, when Albert arrives, it turns out, his brought his parents with him as well. This is not something that Chim had prepared for. And he's very upset. Albert is trying to convince him that he's being stubborn and he should let his dad get to know Jee-Yun, but Chim is very against it. And I'm totally on his side here. Why go back and opens those wounds?

Athena and May are trying to help Bobby figure out what's going on at that rehab center. They think that Wendell died on the property and they dragged him to the field and lit him on fire to cover it up. But they are having a hard time getting evidence. However, it turns out, there have been a lot of deaths at that place. And it's very expensive. So people are really not getting what they are paying for. Plus, they let you use. It's very bizarre.

Denny (or 'D' as he now wants to be known) has been secretly communicating with his biological father. And it seems like learning about baseball from him. Was I the only one who thought it was weird that Hen was so taken aback that he was interested in baseball? It seems very common for kids to try out new hobbies all the time. I wonder if there is something else there.

And then we get to the horribleness. While they are putting out a fire, Buck gets struck by lightening. He pitches forward and tumbles off the ladder, but he's harnessed in and just ends up dangling there unconscious. And of course, who is the first to rush to his aid, screaming for him? Yup, it's Eddie. They manage to get him down, but don't exactly know what to do, since they plan to use the defibrillator, but they realize the lightening has already shocked him. So they just do chest compressions and take him to the hospital.

At this point, I had no idea the show was near the end and I was so upset that we just ended there. Now, I'm sure Buck isn't gonna die in a random episode in the middle of the season, but it's still stressful!
