Arrow 4X21: Monument Point

Oh, god. Felicity is totally gonna beat herself up about this, isn't she? This episode was intense. But honestly, whenever you have a literally countdown timer, it's always going to be intense. We've got, something like, twenty hours.

So, Darhk has started the process of launching the missiles. Oliver asks Felicity if she can hack into the system and stop him. She tells him that her father practically wrote the system they are using, and they should probably try to get him. Turns out, HIVE also knows about this prowess in this area and are out to kill him, so he can't stop them.

Arrow and Co. manage to find him just as HIVE is attacking. However, he needs some powerful tech that's at Palmer, so Felicity goes to get it. But, oops, turns out she's fired because she's been spending too much time at her other job. (Well, that's not really why, but you know.) So, she and her dad need to break in later to get it. They manage, but just barely.

She and her dad are in hacking mode trying to stop the missiles, but as soon as they start, Darhk knows they are doing this and he's blocking them. But, they successfully manage to disarm, all but one missile. Felicity is desperately trying to knock it off course, but they are literally made specifically to not do that. At the last moment she manages to move it to a smaller city than the one it was supposed to hit. But tens of thousands of people are dead. Lyla assures her that had she not managed to move it, it would be millions of people. But Felicity is still gonna be upset about that.

Meanwhile, Thea is still stuck in Genesis. And Alex is totally all in on the plan now. So, she's basically alone in this. But, Machin managed to sneak in in order to get payback on Darhk. However, his plan is basically just to kill everyone who is in here. Thea tells him she'll help him take down Darhk, but not like this. But Malcolm shows up and he flees.

Later, he Thea have it out, when he attacked Alex (who I think he ended up killing later on). After he bests her briefly, he goes over to Alex and electrocutes him. Thea rushes over, takes his pulse and starts crying. I think he's dead. But she could just be upset, because the situation is upsetting and he's still alive.

We end with Oliver and Dig managing to find Darhk in the Nexus room (I think that's what we're calling it), pulling all the power out of the skull after this missile killed the tens of thousands of people. I have no idea how we are supposed to beat him. It's got the strength of a zillion men.
