And of course, Darhk is still two steps ahead. Fucking loser magic guy.
So, Oliver and Felicity head to meet up with Constantine's contact who is supposed to teach Oliver how to defeat Darhk's magic. However, it turns out, he's not the best candidate since he's full of darkness. Which, apparently, feeds into his magic. Bitch. Why didn't we just give Felicity the lessons? There is no way I'm the only person who thought of that. Especially after Oliver tells Felicity that she is the light!
Diggle and Andy finally have a show down. But it turns out that Andy was baiting him all along. After a fight, and Diggle handcuffing him to a pole (that I thought should be easy for Andy to bread free from), we find out it was a set up. All to get a tracker on John. And John leads them directly to Lyla. The actual target. She's got the password to Rubicon implanted under her skin. But Darhk uses his magic to take it. What is Rubicon? Basically, the ability to launch all the nuclear weapons in the world. This fits in perfectly with Darhk's plan. You know, to destroy the world. But the kicker is, that John actually ends up shooting and killing Andy. Even though neither of them thought he was capaable.
But, it turns out, Oliver has enough light in him (mostly from picturing his friends telling him encouraging things about himself, to counteract Darhk's spells. But, he ends up escaping yet again.
While all this is happening, Thea and Alex are on a vacation. But the longer she's there, the longer it's seems strange to her. It feels like she's in a time loop. Eventually, we find out that Alex has been taking HIVE's compliance pills (since he's working for Ruvé). I assume he has no idea what he's done or that he's complicit in anything. But still, Thea is freaked out and tries to leave, but finds out she's essentially trapped in a bubble. Welcome to Genesis.
