I don't think this was my favorite episode. But we did get some good stuff. I particularly enjoyed Hen and Buck getting drunk (and Hen being able to drunkenly do the math to save the dog). Also, I really liked Buck genuinely taking the time to considered whether or not he would actually be okay with being a sperm donor.
But anyway, so Bobby is back. He tells Hen that he heard about med school and he's sorry. He offers to call someone and explain the situation, but Hen declines. He then tells her that she's got to take some time off. She so doesn't want to do that. The house is empty and quiet and she's bored.
Buck has dinner with some old friends and they ask him to be a sperm donor. He doesn't really know what to say. He ends up going to Hen (who is thrilled that she's got someone to hang out with) to talk through it. They end up getting super drunk, but Hen makes a lot of good points. While they are talking, Bobby calls to ask Hen what they should do about a dog that has OD'd on some opiates. Bobby is surprised to find that both she and Buck are drunk at 2 in the afternoon, but Hen is able to quickly do the calculations and tell Chim how much Narcan to give the dog. It works, the dog is saved, and Bobby ends up taking it home with him.
Christopher is trying to find some independence. I'm not sure how old he is, but I'm guessing somewhere between 12 and 14. I'm so bad at guessing the ages of children. If that's true, it's probably well past time for him to start hanging with his friends without dad around. Eddie and he argue about how to not be protective of Christopher. After getting grounded, Christopher continues to play video games, and he and Eddie have it out. Eventually, they make up and Eddie promises to try to back off a little, and let him have some freedom. But not before he's grounded for another week.
Later, Buck has his friends over and tells them that after much consideration, he'd be happy to be their sperm donor. And that seems to dovetail nicely into Hen going to ask her professor if she can retake the exam. To which her professor allows her do an alternative test the following week. Yay, Hen!
