Friday Night Lights 5X10: Don't Go
Added 2024-10-10 21:00:07 +0000 UTCI didn't love this episode. I checked the reviews afterwards and it seemed like people loved it. There was no actual football! And a lot of drama that was more drama than needed to be! And Buddy and the team obviously manipulating Eric!
But, that stuff aside, we did get some good stuff. Tim is finally out of jail. And, even if Billy didn't, Eric made a lovely speech on his behalf. Vince finally put his dad in his place. (Not that he actually listened- but then mom jumped in to back up Vince). Eric tells the media he'll be staying in Dillion and not accepting the college offer.
You know, Eric struggled with that decision. Especially since Tami seemed to be leaning towards going to Florida. And while I really do think he made the right decision, it seems odd (and doesn't sit well) that he didn't talk to Tami before he made this decision. They have been such partners all this time. Him making this decision without consulting her rubs me the wrong way.
There's not much else I want to say about this episode. But, there are only 3 episodes left. And that makes me sad. This show was so much better than I ever thought it could be.
