Arrow 4X13: Sins of the Father

Oh, this is going to get so messy, isn't it?

So, Malcolm is swearing up and down that there is no lotus that can cure Thea, but if Oliver can prove there is, he will absolutely give up his ring to Nyssa to get it. Turns out, it's real. And after a short demonstration where Thea is instantly better (for a short while), he immediately agrees to the terms.

Oliver, Malcolm, and Laurel meet up with Nyssa in Nanda Parbat to exchange the ring. But, at the last second, Malcolm reveals it was a trick and has a bunch of solider attack Nyssa and the small amount of people she brought with her. She retreats.

Afterwards, Oliver suggests one of those fight to the death matches, with the last person standing getting to be the next Ra's. Both Nyssa and Malcolm agree, but at the last second, Oliver stands in for Nyssa and fights Malcolm. He could have killed him, but instead, chooses to cut off his hand and knock him out. He then gives the ring to Nyssa in exchange for the entire dose of lotus.

Thea is given the contents and it's cured pretty much immediately. She's very hazy on what's been going on, but physical she's fine, and her bloodlust appear gone.

Nyssa calls Oliver and Malcolm after she's the new Ra's (and Malcolm so didn't wanna come, but has to obey now, I guess) to tell them that she disbanded the league. She tosses the ring in the fire and lets it melt. Malcolm is furious. I mean, livid. I don't exactly know why. Why does he care so much of the league no longer exists? But he's PISSED. He runs to Darhk to tell him that way to get to Oliver is through his son. And of course, this happens right after Oliver and Felicity decide they are going to get married soon. So, you know that wedding is not gonna go off without a hitch.

Also, Felicity is cautious with her dad. She ends up testing him, and he fails. (I think he somehow tried to steal some the tech from Palmer, but I didn't really understand how. Felicity planted some little device 🤷‍♀️). When she finds out he's still the man she always thought he was, she has Quintin come and arrest him. It's kind of sad. But probably for the best. Especially since she and her mom seem to be getting along much better these days.
