Okay, so Jax has proven once again, that he's hesitant to having to actually kill people. To make a long story short, those dead bodies in the basement of the warehouse both had Tig's DNA on them (as he was having sex with both of them) which would lead law enforcement back to the group. So, they need to get rid of those bodies ASAP. Unfortunately, the gonna be new chief isn't as wiling to look the other way to SOA's illegal dealings as the current (about to retire) chief is. He's got round the clock surveillance on on the site while they wait for the forensic inspectors to come from the next town over.
SOA realizes that the only way to delay is, is to kill someone in that town, so forensics can't come over to Charming, as they'd be too busy in their own jurisdiction. However, Jax proposes uses already dead people that they bribe the cremation guy into giving them, rather than actual kill anyone. Then they do a switch, and cremate the bodies that were underground. All worked out as it should. But still, highlights Jax's reluctance to be in with two feet.
Clay asks the current chief to hold off on retiring for a while, just until he can get things back up and running after they figure out their gun issues. He says he won't, but they can still be friendly in other areas. Clay agrees to go on a protection run for him, but instead, allows the truck to the stolen and when the chief balks at this, Clay tells him that all of his trucks will be hijacks going forward unless he agrees to stay on for another six months. Neither he, or Hale are particularly happy about this, but Unser eventually agrees.
Opie, who is deep in financial debt now that he's no longer in, asks if he can do the protection run with Clay since it's good money and not really an illegal activity. Then he's blindsided when it turns out they are actually hijacking the truck themselves. He really needs the money, but his wife is pissed that he went to jail for SOA. Gemma tries to reach out to her and tell. her that the club is still there for them, but Donna snubs her. I'm kind of afraid that Gemma might kill her in her sleep. Lol.
Tara and Gemma are still not getting along. We get a tiny piece of backstory: Tara and Jax used to date. I feel like Gemma probably used to like her at that point, but she doesn't like what she's become. She accuses her of coming back to Charming to get Jax back. (After Tara accuses her of giving Wendy the drugs that she OD'd on last episode). The two of them are really fun to watch on screen. I hope we get more from them.
