Sons of Anarchy 1X1: Pilot

Okay, so, this was super fun. I have a feeling it's going to get complicated though, and I'm going to have to pay attention. Lol. There are a crazy amount of characters already.

So, we've got the Sons of Anarchy who are a motorcycle gang. Basically, the first thing that happens is there warehouse is stolen from and set on fire. (Which was full of guns they were supposed to give to another gang). They know it was the Mayans so they go to steal their guns back and blow up there shit.

Our main character (I think) is Jax. He's the vice president, but after finding a box with book his late father wrote (who co-created the club with Clay- the president and the guy who's sleeping with Jax's mom) he's not sure that this is the kind of club he wanted it to be. Jax doesn't seem to have a problem with stealing and some of the other nefarious things the gang does. But he's really against drugs coming in and seems hesitant to actually kill anyone. So, I presume that's gonna be something that gets explored through out the show.

Anyway, his pregnant ex wife is a drug addict, and he hasn't heard from her in awhile, so he sends his mom over to check on her. Turns out she OD'd and started hemorrhaging. The baby had to removed 10 weeks early via C-section (with a hole in his heart and some messed up intestines). Jax goes to see her and she apologizes, but asks him to get rid of the rest of the drugs she had in the house so she won't go to jail.

Later, Katey Sagal goes to see her and tells her the baby is gonna be okay, but she'll never see it. If she ever goes anywhere near her grandson, she'll kill her. Then she leaves her with a bible that she stuffed some drugs into. She takes him and ends up ODing again.

Meanwhile, Clay and Jax are getting ready to pay back the Mayans. They are supposed to bring Opie with them (he's their old fire guy- their current fire guy is signing in a casino) but his wife freaks out that he's involved again, so Jax tells him to stay home. He'll do the fire part. Expect, he doesn't actually know how, which means they are stuck at the Mayan warehouse for way longer than they were supposed to be, leading to a shootout. Clay tells Jax to shoot one of them, but Jax hesitates and ends up not doing it. (They part I left out here is that his mom is desperate for him to stay in the life, and she's asked Clay to make sure he acts like a man and do all this gangster shit).

There's also some history between mom and the doctor who performed the surgery on the baby. I'm guessing she used to be in the life (and maybe with Jax), but she left and mom is really all in on it. Maybe? But she saves the baby so mom is happy.

This is gonna be a hell of ride, isn't it?
