Dude. Everything is a hot mess right now. I don't even know how to describe it.
So, Derek shows up at the Taylor house looking to talk to Julie. Eric chases him off with a bike part that he proceeds to beat his car with. Then, he shows up at Tami's job and tells her that he can get Julie back to school if he can just talk to her. She wants nothing to do with it. Eventually, he meets with Julie and convinces her to go back to school. He tells her he quit is job, so it's fine for her to go back. He also gives her the number of where he's going in case she needs him. On her way back to school, she calls him and asks if he wants to get back together. He says yes, and she u-turns. Turns out, she actually went to see Matt though. ❤️
But, in important news, Vince has a TV interview where he touts his accomplishments and basically ignores the rest of the team. His family thinks this is wonderful, but Jess and the rest of the team, less so. They mock him in the locker room and aren't that excited to play with him on the field.
Then, he skips school and practice, to go visit Oklahoma Tech on an 'unofficial visit' (whatever that means). They love it there, as they are surrounded by hot girls and tons of young, cool stuff to do. After they 'overhear' the coach talking about how it's between Vince and one other guy (whichever one gives verbal commitment) who will lead them in two years, Vince and his dad get excited. However, none of this is sanctioned, and it ends up on a website later and Eric is PISSED. I'm not sure exactly how this is gonna play out (or even what it means, but you know it's not gonna be good).
Becky tries to do another pageant without her mom. Mindy and a bunch of her stripper friends try to help her out with it. However, they are obnoxious at the actual event and Becky comes in 3rd (I think), and it's heavily implied that if she hadn't brought a loud cheering section, she might have done better.
Also, Vince's dad somehow knows about Eric's offer to be a college head coach. And throws it back in his face when he says Vince isn't bigger than the team as a whole. How does he know that? And are they really calling him everyday? This is the last season, so maybe he really will take that job. But I think he's better suited to HS football. He's more of a mentor and that's good for younger minds.
