Honestly, this episode was kind of boring. Too much of it was spent on Brianna and Roger's family. We also got a bunch of William and that brother and sister doctor duo. And what we did get of Claire and Jamie, was very light on the two of them together. Also, we have to keep in mind that we're back to history stuff, so I'm often confused. Sigh. 😳
So, William and the doctor duo are traveling, and they run into some dude that tells them they are going the wrong way. (And he seems suspect from the start). It will take several hours to double back, so they decide to camp for the night. However, the man invites them to stay with him and his wife. He then feeds them something horrible. (Rat stew? Pigeon stew? People stew?). Due to this meal, William wakes up in the middle of the night with a cramping stomach. Just in time to see the husband and wife coming downstairs to kill them. They manage to kill the husband and fend off the wife. Turns out, they've been doing this to travelers in order to steal their possessions.
The next day, the three of them ride on together. Eventually, they reach a fork where the duo will go on the Ticonderoga, and the William will head further north.
Brianna gets a job as a plant inspector, and the guys she manages haze her by locking her under the dam. She's pissed, but smart enough to figure out how to get out. However, on the way, she passes through some weird portal that sounds like the stones, but she runs really fast through it. Once she's on the other side, the sound goes away. However, they've been having issues with the kids claiming folklore creatures are real. Do we think it's possible that something is passing through that portal?
At Ticonderoga, Jamie desperately tries to tell them about a weak spot that they will be attacked from, but they are not having it. Jamie then tries to demonstrate how bad it is, but again, he is rebuffed. Eventually, they are attacked from that exact position and they are shocked and claim no one could have saw it coming. 🙄 They all evacuate Ticonderoga before they are slaughtered.
Also, Ian is sent back to Mohawk to deliver a message. While there, he runs into his ex-wife. He gets to spend some time with her son, who maybe is actually Ian's son? But if that's true, why tell Ian he was stillborn? I'm not 100% sure though. But it certainly seems like it's true. I mean, if we can believe a 5 (or so) year old. Right? Or many they Mohawk just like Ian more than the new husband? But I don't think that's it. If it's supposed to be ambiguous at this point, don't tell me! If I'm too stupid to figure it out, tell me. Lol.
