So, not long after the video of her slapping Renee (yes, I had to look up her name) shows up on the internet, Haley gets arrested for assault and battery charges. Clay, who spent the night with Quinn, has turned off his phone and Nathan can't reach him.

While in a holding cell, the other girls there know who she is and what she did. They try to convince her that all guys cheat and she's basically just got to get used to it, but she refuses to believe that Nathan is like them. She gets called out and when she leaves the room, she finds Renee there wanting to talk to her.

She apologizes and drops the charges telling Haley that she took her anger out on her and Nathan who she was actually upset with. However, she continues to insist that she really is pregnant with Nathan's baby. She gives Haley her phone number and tells her to check Nathan phone records to see if it's on there.

When she gets out of jail (which is swarming with paparazzi, by the way) she begins to ask Nathan some questions about how he might know her. And this leads to him getting upset that she doesn't believe him and leaves. It certainly seems that Haley (and me too) are starting to get some tiny bubbles of doubt here. I mean, this girl is so insistent, Nathan has called her, and he was drunk. I'm still hoping it was some elaborate ruse to try to get money out of him.

Anyway, they hold a press conference later as a united front and Nathan says exactly what you would expect him to. But this is just getting very messy. Afterwards, Haley does get up and look through the phone records and the number is there. She dials it and gets Renee's voicemail. We then pan out and see that Renee is with Dan. My guess is that he's gonna try to make this go away with money and then try to use that to get Nathan back in his life, since Nathan is still not talking to him. But I am way too invested in this Naley storyline. I'm so scared now that Nathan maybe did actually do this.

In other news, Julian does what Nathan and Mouth should have down when they were in his position. Which is, call Alex out on her shit immediately, leave, and tell Brooke exactly what happened as soon as he sees her. Now, he does end up deciding to continue working with her and he didn't tell Brooke yet, so we'll see how that plays out.

Also, Brooke asks Millie to model full time as she was such a hit at the show. Mouth is not happy about it, but screw him. I didn't want them to get back together anyway. He's not good enough for her. Thankfully, she decides to accept. Mouth be damned!

And I continue to not care about Quinn or David.

Happy OTH Day...hard to believe it's been 21 years since the show first premiered on September 23, 2003. Time sure does fly!!! And it only seems fitting that you would post a OTH reaction today on the show's birthday....and it be one of my favorites to boot!!! A Naley centric episode that features their entire orbit.... doesn't get any better if you ask me, hehe!!! And I love how invested you are in this storyline Dana, because you immediately want to watch the next episode to find out what happens next, hehe, but hopefully you won't have to wait too long to find out. Let me just say that I love this story arc for Naley so much because not only is it a realistic portrayal of a celebrity athlete dealing with these types of allegations, but we get to see how it impacts not only their family but everyone around them as well. And James and Joy rock it no doubt!!! They are so great together.... the emotion is always so spot on. How funny was the beginning of this when Naley were watching the clip of the slap online and Nathan says to Haley that "there are worse things than hitting a pregnant woman" and Haley then goes "yeah, what?" And Nathan goes "give me a second" as he then takes a sip of his coffee, lol. It's so funny indeed, lol. Nathan with the one-liners in this episode were everything, lol. Then Naley telling Jamie that since he's playing video games that must mean that his teeth have been brushed already, and he swore that they have, and then when the doorbell rings and Jamie jumps up to answer the door and it's the cops, he immediately goes "I'll brush, I'll brush" before running upstairs, lol. What perfect timing indeed, lol. Naley couldn't have scripted that one any better if they tried, lol. Of course, they arrest Haley on the spot for assault and battery, but you gotta love Nathan Scott coming to his wife's defense by calling out the cops and then telling Haley that him and Jamie are right behind her. Loved that whole exchange!!! And since Clay and Quinn had turned off their phones, they weren't getting any of Nathan's calls, so by the time they appear together at Naley's, Nathan had already begun to put two and two together, and he's pissed indeed. And I agree with him. He just watched Clay punch David the night before, and now he's strolling in with Quinn the next morning. He's got every right not to want his agent screwing around with his brother-in-law and sister-in-law's marriage. Whether it's on the rocks or not, that's not Clay's business to get in the middle of it. Plus, his first and foremost concern is supposed to be for Nathan and his career, and this just looks terrible all the way around. I love how the tension had been building all episode long with Nathan and Clay, and by episodes end, it had reached a boiling point. Then poor Haley had to deal with all those crazy women in jail, and then the biggest crazy of all Renee, but she handled her well I thought. And I loved seeing Nathan protecting Haley from the press as they were leaving the station. True love right there. And how funny were Naley at the house when Nathan comes up to Haley from behind and puts his arms around her and asks, "if she has any good stories from the inside?" lol. Like I said.... Nathan and his one-liners were golden this episode. Of course, that lead to a sour moment between Naley when Haley started asking Nathan if he'd ever met Renee before? And Nathan then got offended and walked out, but I love that it led to Nathan and David talking at Tric. The show did a good job of establishing the fact that Nathan and David are good friends/family, and their dynamic is great. Very believable indeed. And Nathan's greeting was hilarious..."Is this the support group for husbands of James girls?" lol Classic Nathan for you....and I love the callback to Naley's split when Haley was on tour and Nathan talks about it with David and tells him that he never gave up hope. Only Naley could have that moment carry so much poignant weight all these years later. Then we get the press conference with Nathan once again warning Clay beforehand to stay away from Quinn, and then we get Haley showing up, and Nathan breathing a sigh of relief that he doesn't have to do this alone, and she reassures him that he'll never have to, that they face things together. We also get to see the nice moment between Haley and Jamie when she tells him to never forget how special his parents are and that she promises him that they are never going to stop loving each other. Yes...it's a big promise to make, but oh so fitting for Naley. It's a concrete reminder to the audience just how special and epic they are indeed, and it plays so well here with the backdrop of a really difficult situation playing out in the public eye. And then at the end, we not only see Haley check the phone records to discover Renee's number that she gave her at the jail, but we see Dan meeting with Renee to offer her something as well. What do you think he's up to? lol Stay tuned indeed, lots of moving parts in this episode......that was oh so good!!!!
