I'm a little disappointed. When I realized this was a Christmas episode I was really hoping we were gonna get Maddie and Chim back. I miss them.
So, Bobby and Athena are planning to host a giant Christmas extravaganza. However, people keep canceling on them, and in the end, I think it's just the two of them and Harry. However, during one of the 9-1-1 calls this episode, an apartment building is deemed unsafe to reenter, so the Red Cross put them up in a motel on Christmas Eve. Bobby and Athena bring their Christmas dinner to them, and it's really quite lovely.
Buck is having a terrible time trying to figure out what to get for Taylor, and it's majorly stressing him out. However, we find out that she's having the same problem. Buck ends up getting her, like, a Life Alert. Why? I'm very confused by this gift. But even more confused that she actually likes it. She got him a sweater.
However, the most important part of this episode (in my opinion), is the Eddie and Christopher story. Christopher is having a very hard time right now. He's already lost his mom (who he was just getting to know), and his dad lives a very high risk lifestyle, and it's freaking him out. He's afraid all the time that Eddie is going to die or get hurt at work. So, at the end of the episode, he decides to resign from the 118 for Christopher's sake. I feel like this is not really going to happen. Right? (Or maybe I'm just trying to convince myself). We're not losing Eddie, right? (I mean, don't tell me, but, right? π€£).
