Wildfire 2X1: Try it Without the Porsche

So, I'm pleased to note that this first episode of S2 had the same vibes I loved so much from S1. I was a little worried. I'm thinking about (this isn't a spoiler) how Gilmore Girls went from it's cozy vibes in S1-3 to not so much later on. It's still my favorite show I love S4 and 5, but you can tell something is missing.

Anyway, even though Kris lost the race, she's caught the eye of a sports agent. He approaches Jean about talking to Kris, and while Jean doesn't want her to do this just yet, she's not going to take the opportunity away from her, so she tells him he can meet with her. Kris is shocked, but tells him she'll think about it and they'll talk more in a week.

Meanwhile, Junior is going to try it without the Porsche. Except, he literally takes off in the Porsche. Lol. But he claims he was going to sell it. However, while he's driving near a lake, he loses control of the car while changing the song on his iPod, and crashes into the water. The shot we get is of the car mostly submerged int the water, but with no Junior. Later, police find the car and contact Dani. Dan, Kris, and Matt are beside themselves trying to get ahold of him. They all think he's dead. But shortly after, he strolls into the barn where Kris is. Turns out he's fine, but they decide that now isn't the best time for them to be together.

However, he's got a plan. Sell some stuff in his safety deposit box, get an apartment downtown, and start throwing epic parties. For a cover charge, of course. Why is it that when rich people try to live without their wealth, they always seem to turn to party planning as a money making venture?

Also, we've got Dani who is PISSED at her father. But we finally get the truth. Her mother got pregnant via her father, and really, really wanted to keep Dani, but she was poor, and knew she'd get a better life with her dad. Then Ken tries to make it up to her, by offering to let her take over the farm (now that Junior is out, I guess), but Dani says no. That's not what she wants. Later, she counters with her taking one of the horses, and if she can pay it off within the year, she gets to keep it and becomes a partner. If not, the horse goes back to her dad. She's wants to make sure she has something that is hers, unlike her mom.

Oh, and everyone keeps walking in on Pablo in bed with the reporter.
