So, first off, this was a zillion times better than the previous episode. I don't know what I was on about, but this was so much better. I'm also not sure of what exactly what was better, but I'm pro it.

Again, I hate the Mouth/Skills/Millie stuff. Just talk to each other and figure out a solution. This is not the way to do it! Grrrr.

I know you guys have said that Naley is the thing this season, but right now, I'm all about Brooke and Julian. I just want Brooke to be happy! (And Naley is already happy- I mean depending on this pregnancy BS; I'm still refusing to believe it's Nathan's without further proof- wasted or not- this doesn't seem like Nathan). Plus, Brooke going toe to toe with his dad like he did with Victoria, was a thing of beauty.

Haley and Mia figure out how to keep Red Bedroom Records open. And special thanks to Mia for putting her livelihood on the line for this. But, I think both she and Haley really believed in what was happening there. But Haley impersonating both Peyton and Luke (but mostly Luke) was a thing of beauty.

Brooke's new spokesperson is a giant pain in the ass. I hate her. I'm sure Brooke does too (or well when she realizes her 'apology' was lines from a movie.

I'm still not super excited about Quinn and whatever is going on in her life. I mean, I barely know her! I'm guessing she's here to replace Peyton, but so far, I don't care.

Also, was it me, or were the transitions odd in this episode?

First off, I'm so glad that you liked this episode better because I was worried after your 7x01 reaction, lol. I still think if you go back and rewatch 7x01 again now, knowing about the changes that perhaps you might look at it through a different lens? I thought that premiere was executed brilliantly as far as performance with our regular players and introducing the new ones. With the backdrop being Jamie's birthday party and the reason for everyone coming together, I thought it was a seamless transition that worked well. There were enough new and refreshing things to get excited about; while also featuring the comfort we all crave...ie Naley, Brooke/Julian, and Dan. Like I said, I want for you so bad to appreciate that episode because it's one of my favorites for sure, lol. But as far as this episode goes, glad that you are enjoying Brooke and Julian, and the Naley stuff is going to heat up for sure, hehe. I also really loved Brooke's conversation with Paul, and how it parallel's Julian's conversation with Victoria last season. It was perfect indeed, and yes...you usually want Brooke Davis on your side for sure, lol!!! I knew you'd be surprised at the Dan/Rachel reveal and I enjoyed your reaction to it immensely, lol. Their stuff is so juicy and hilarious, and I can't wait for you to see it all play out, hehe. Skills and Jamie continue to be funny together, and this time Ms. Lauren is in the mix to enhance it. And speaking of funny...the Brooke/Millie/Alex stuff is comedy gold. That scene where Millie brings Alex to the store to meet Brooke for the first time, is rolling on the floor, laughing out loud comedy, lol. That scene still cracks me up to this day, lol. All of them really committed and sold that scene so damn well!!! And how funny was Haley doing those impressions of Lucas and Peyton, lol. She was so spot on. Joy has always been skilled in doing impressions, but man alive....did she rock the Leyton ones, lol. Nobody could have done those justice the way she did in that scene, lol. And then we finally get to see the stress of this allegation start to get to Nathan as he's trying to navigate his way around it and make sense of it all. It was such an honest reaction from him for him to storm into the restaurant where Clay was meeting with Renee and immediately begin to lose his cool at this woman whose doing this to him. Even though it was obviously a bad look for him...very realistic indeed. And then at the end when Clay shows Nathan the sonogram...you can immediately see the color drain from his face. Not because he believes her, but because he knows what this is going to do to his family, and he's got to go and tell Haley. Love that it's not some long-drawn-out thing between Naley, with Nathan trying to hide things from Haley. He immediately goes home to tell his wife. And I know things end on a sour note, but can I just take a moment to appreciate the beauty that is Naley sitting out back together in their professionally decorated backyard that's lit with a thousand fairy lights all over the tress, hehe. They are just so beautiful together and make such a stunning pair and image. I could stare at them all day long, hehe. And let's also just appreciate the scenery this season, because it's night and day from S6. Last season almost appeared to operate on a low budget compared to what we get this season, and trust me when I say there is more beauty to come :)

Melissa

OMG. That's amazing! I wish I remembered I said that.

Dana Licciardello

I remember at one point you said Rachel should go away and marry Dan, I was laughing knowing what's to come :))
