Wildfire 1X13: Loyalty

OMG. I HATE that this is where they left me! I was waiting all episode for Kris to get to race Wildfire, and then they cut me off at the starting gun! No thank you! I do not like this!

Anyway, Tina does what we expect her to do. She takes the money and races for Davis on Avatar. Well, of course. I mean, we made her character so plainly transparent, how could this go any other way? (And I don't mean that as a slight against the writing. I just mean, they set it up super well).

Speaking of Tina, she also does exactly what we expect of her in relation to Matt. Now, to be fair, she told Matt clearly (and multiple times over) that this was basically just a fling for her. If he misinterpreted that, it's on him.

Turns out, Todd is just fine. I really thought this was gonna be more concerning than it was. I wasn't even sure if he was gonna live, but he's totally fine, minus some eye issues.

And, we've got all the stuff with Dani. You guys know I've been super down on Dani. Well, it turns out, we just need proper motivation and I'll root for her. So, she found her 'mother' but it turns out, it's not actually her mother. She's Junior's mother, but not Dani's. I'm not sure if her dad is trying to shield her from pain, or if he's trying to shield himself from pain right now.

Matt succumbs to his demons and ends up 16K in the hole. But his dad and Charlie devise a plan to help him out. If I'm being honest, I have no idea if this beating is rock bottom for Matt or not. However, I dd really like the scene. But, I do not like Pete trying to weasel his way back into our lives.

Also, we've got Kris racing Wildfire. This is all she's wanted since she ended up in fake jail. I"m so, so, so happy for her. I feel like it's a 50/50 shot if she wins or not, but at least she's here!
