Ugh. I hate this. Why can't TV just let anyone be happy? Sometimes, life is good. But no, as soon as Tim says he's happy, you know something awful is gonna happen. And it does. He's just loving his life right now. He likes working at the shop, he's bought his land, he's just become an uncle. And immediately after all this delightfulness, he gets arrested for the chop shop stuff. I'm so concerned that he's gonna take the fall for Billy since Billy just had the baby. I mean, I guess it doesn't make sense for both of them to be in jail, but I've grown to absolutely love Riggins. it would kill me if he spent all of S5 in jail!
The Lions have a totally shitty and messed up field that the Panthers don't want to play on. After an inspection, Eric promises it will be in top shape for the game. The players spend a ton of time getting it ready. And then, annoyed, they head over to Panthers territory and on Landry's idea, set up thousands of toothpicks as a prank on the field. It's funny humorous, and even Eric likes it. However, in retaliation, the Panthers destroy the Lions field. They do donuts on the field and pull down the goalposts, and generally just destroy everything. Miraculously, all the Panther's players were accounted for during the night, so none of them are in trouble.
In other news, the cat is out of the bag on Tami. The town seemingly 'knows' that she was conspiring to have a girl get an abortion. She's front page of the paper, they are getting harassing calls all day and night, people are picketing her on school grounds. It's awful. Especially, since she did nothing wrong! They are calling for her to put out a statement of apology. She's agreed to a statement, but hasn't yet said what it might be. Fuck, I hope she doesn't say she's sorry. If we remember the conversation she had with Becky, she didn't mention terminating the pregnancy until Becky brought it up as an option. AND her mother was hell bent on her getting one. If they wanna go after anyone (AND THEY SHOULDN'T) go after Becky's mom. (I mean, I might be biased since I'm pissed at her right now because of the Tim situation, but still).
And then we've got Vince. I feel so terribly for him. He's stuck in the shittiest of situations, with really no good options. All he wanted was to get his mom into a good rehab so she could get some help. He didn't want all this bullshit that came with it. He accepted it, but has been continuously asking when he could get out. Now they want him to kill someone? I mean, he bailed (and I'm proud of him), but what does he do now? It doesn't seem like there is any way out.
