Okay, so, while this wasn't the best episode, it does feel like we are actually making some progress in the season.
Fiona, much to Lip's annoyance, has put the house of as collateral to buy the laundromat. Lip is pissed, because he feels like even though the house is in Fiona's name, that it's 'owned' by all of them. And if she defaults on this loan, they are homeless. Fiona assures him she'll make the payments on time, but it's still risky. Just because she plans to pay doesn't mean everything will work out the way she wants it to.
Frank, is still Frank. He's hoarding the money and goods he's been getting as a shelter for himself. He lets everyone else keep a small portion of their pan handling money, but keeps most of it for himself. When Debbie comes to him to ask for permission to marry (since, you know, she's like, 15), New Lip overhears their conversation and outs him. The rest of the new Gallagher's are pissed and toss him out the window, which leads to him sleeping outside on a bench.
Lip is intrigued that his 'girlfriend' (mostly because I don't know her name) is a squirter, and tries to find out as much as he can about the phenomenon. However, while he still wants to continue a sexual relationship with her, she's sort of acting like they are more serious than he wants to be. They discuss, but I'm pretty sure she's lying when she talks about wanting to keep this casual. This is totally going to bite one, or both of them, in the ass. Plus, his 'skimming off the top plan' is probably not gonna work anymore since the DEA shut them down and arrested the CEOs. Fun.
Ian finally decides (after he loses a patient) that he wants to sleep with Trevor. However, when they start to get down to business, they realize they are both tops and have no idea how to proceed. On the plus side, they both take it very well, and they laugh about the dilemma together. I'm not sure how they proceed from here, but I like them together.
Debbie gets engaged to Ian. His sister thinks it's because she just wants his disability money. And while she's not wrong, Debbie does (for once) make some good points about how this is a mutually beneficial agreement. Fiona agrees to sign the paperwork for the marriage since Debbie is underage.
And Carl has finally made it to military school. I really hope this works out for him. He really needs some direction and I do think this is a good step for him.
