I guess it's Buddy's time to shine. I know I've given him a lot of shit over the seasons, but it seems like he's in his element here. That dinner was dying until he showed up.
Do we think Landry and this girl (whose name I don't know) are on the same page? It certainly seems so. I'm not sure what's going on here, but I will 100% always route for Landry.
And Matt is getting upset and resentful about Julie's decision to apply to schools away from Texas. But at least her realizes that she never asked him to stay and that it was his decision. However, he's been sort of taking it out on her. I assume he was heading to tell her as much at the end of the episode when she tells him his dad has been killed in Iraq.
It seems like the pep rally goes well. They manage to snag a couple of ex Lions, and Landry's sort of girlfriend convinces her dad to let them host it at the restaurant. I'll be curious of they tell us if this was successful in the future or not.
Jake and Vince cannot stop antagonizing each other. It finally boils over with Vince steals Jake's wallet and won't admit he's done it. They meet on the street and start to fight. Police pick them up and call Eric. Eric manages to keep Vince out of Juvie by telling Jake to take the blame. But making Vince promise to cut the tough guy act. He then forces them to walk home together. It seems like things are a little better between them.
And everyone in Dillion hates Tami. Which totally suck. None of this is her fault. I cannot imagine how she is just going through normal life right now.
