This episode was fun. I'm not a big movie person, but I do I like horror movies. And this had some fun horror movie vibes.
I assume this is the end of the storyline with the necklace (mostly since the necklace was destroyed). But we did finally get a reason for Damon being here. However, if his entire plan depended on the magic from the necklace, how could he ever let it out of his sight? Is he crazy? He literally just gave it away. Stupid.
Also, Katherine is not dead? She's just been chilling under a church for 150 years? Apparently, with some other vampires as well, and Emily is not willing to set them all free, so she calls off the deal she made with Damon and destroys the necklace. Damon is enraged and attacks her. But after the spell she turns back into Bonnie. (Oh yeah, Emily was totally possessing Bonnie this whole time). He takes a good chunk out of her neck, and Stefan saves her by feeding her his blood.
After this whole fiasco, Elena tells tells Stefan she was wrong. She totally wants to be with him. But he decides that he's leaving Mystic Falls having caused enough death.
Meanwhile, Jeremy gets a new History teacher, who is totally, probably, maybe a vampire. He's got one of those gaudy ass rings the Salvatore boys are always wearing. And it looked like he wasn't able to step in the Gilbert house without an invitation, but that could be a misdirect. Seems very vampire to me, though. Question is: is he a good vampire or a bad vampire?
Logan shows back up. And asks to be invited in. Did he become a vampire since the last time we saw him? I think no, but this show is wild, so who the hell knows.
Elena finally (with Stefan's permission), tells Bonnie the truth about vampires.
Also, Caroline sucks as a friend. No wonder she's always kept out of the loop.
