Bonus Surprise: 9-1-1 Lone Star 2X3: Hold the Line
Added 2024-08-05 22:20:52 +0000 UTCSo I guess it's the month for crossovers. After our Arrow/Flash crossover, Lisa, our 9-1-1 sponsor was like, 'Super awesome timing! There's a 9-1-1 crossover right now if you're interested!' And I was. Lol. Thankfully, they caught me just in time.
When our friends get to Texas, Buck is sort of immediately enraptured by a social media star that Eddie ends up working with. They actually end up enjoying each other, and I wonder if she's going to get mentioned on the future in regular 9-1-1.
Okay, Buck, Hen, Eddie get to Texas to help with some wildfires. While there, Hen ends up trapped with (what I assume, is their Bobby) Owen in a mineshaft with little hope of rescue. But of course, the Texas people show up (with Buck) and save them. But not before Owen and Hen confess their guilt to each other.
I can't be the only one who LOVES Buck and Owen's son (no idea what his name is) stealing a truck (but obviously not the 118 truck because Bobby would kill him), to go looking for Hen and Owen, right?
*I feel like if I watched this show, this thumbnail might be very poignant. But I haven't, so I'm just guessing. 😳

Ha. I thought that was the show I was getting sponsored for before Lisa informed me otherwise. Lol. 🤣 This was so much fun! Kind of off topic, but I'm no stranger to watching the spin off of stuff before the original. I watched two or three seasons of Torchwood before I watched Doctor Who. 😳

Grrrr. 😳 So glad to hear that just because I'm ship obsessed, I'm not the only one who realized Eddie came around the corner right after Buck was hit on by a guy. Ha. I did love the dumbass and dumbasser. It was quite a vibe. This really was a fun watch!

2024-08-06 01:02:01 +0000 UTCoh yay i’m so glad you enjoyed this episode even if you didn’t know most of the characters. it definitely helped that they were almost always with one of our 118 friends. i really did like all the little pairings in this. tk and buck were a fun duo in particular. them going to steal the firetruck was a highlight and judd calling them dumbass and dumbasser. they really are a lot alike and have the captain dad thing in common even if bobby isn’t technically buck’s dad. we know he basically is. that moment with tk telling buck he already has a boyfriend and then walking off and eddie walking into frame was 1000% intentional. no way it wasn’t. so the mateo side plot with him asking buck if he knows about his cousin marvin and mentioning that he’s getting out of jail soon was a reference to the earthquake episode of 9-1-1. marvin was the kid with the hair who was stealing cars that athena arrested and later helped her with the cement truck. the same actor played a guest star role on 9-1-1 before being cast on lone star so it was a fun little way to explain them looking alike lol. and yeah marjan or firefox is a lone star character. i don’t think she’s ever mentioned on og 9-1-1. it was just a cute little subplot for the crossover.
