9-1-1 4X1: The New Abnormal

Why exactly aren't Chim and Maddie living together? I get it's for the safety of the baby, but how is this safer? It's not as though he's working and she's not. She's still going to work. How are Chim's germs worse than the one's she'll get work? I'm confused.
Athena is finally back to work. And she does not seem like she wants to be there. I wonder if she'll end up retiring, or something. Especially after the house she's in is currently tumbling down the side of a mountain. I think she' ready for a break!
We figured out what May wanted to talk to Maddie about. Although, I'm not sure why Athena is so unhappy about it. Why exactly is Maddie working at 9-1-1 a problem for Athena?
Things are such a mess right now. Earthquakes, and mudslides, and dams bursting, how much money does poor California need in disaster relief every season?

Okay, that makes sense. They've got their own little bubble of people. But Chim's out in the world with all the people. I think I'm just sad that they aren't together, especially now. I really love them as a couple.

2024-07-31 11:15:26 +0000 UTCMaddie is only exposed to the people at the center. Chim is a first responder so he is out in the world and could be exposed to maskless sick people at any point. She has a controlled environment and he doesn’t. It’s like how lots of first responders and doctors lived in hotels to keep their families safe during the early days of the pandemic.
