9-1-1 3X17: Powerless
Added 2024-07-19 21:00:03 +0000 UTCI have no idea how they all managed to listen to Athena over the radio and not change it. Talk about powerless, my god. Bobby having to listen to his wife getting beaten and knowing there was nothing he could do but sit in the truck until they got there, must have been absolute murder. And then having to hear a gunshot. I give these people a crazy amount of credit. I'd have been a total basket case by the time I got there.
And this is the first time I feel like we've seen Bobby put his feelings before the job. Someone was trying to tend the rapist and Bobby was all like' he'll be fine- fix my wife.'
Also, Karen suspects that Hen is cheating on her. She shows up to Chim's to ask him about it and he realizes he's been used as an alibi, but he wasn't with Hen that night. The two of them drink, like, all the alcohol in the house (And we get drunk Chim- this drunk Chim was so much more entertaining than previous drunk Chim. I kind of want Chim to be drunk more often) and eventually Maddie comes home and calls Hen to pick up Karen.
Drunk Karen and Chim confront her and we get the truth, Hen is thinking about going to medical school (which I totally called!) and all the evidence was innocent. She and Karen make up and go home. But Chim is bummed that he might be losing his best friend and partner. And this ties into the previous episode about how when people leave the station, they don't really keep in touch anymore.
We on a train derailment, where the caller to 9-1-1 is none other than Buck's Abby. I really need to know how this plays itself out. Is she coming back? Is Buck gonna be okay when he sees her? Ahhh!
