Outlander 4X9: The Birds and the Bees
Added 2024-07-19 20:00:04 +0000 UTCSo, 90% of this episode is just me smiling like a loon. Everyone seems so happy that Brianna is there.
Brianna went from, 'Oh, no, Roger really left,' to 'OMG. My parents are here in Wilmington!'
That said, Brianna is obviously upset about both Roger and the fact that Stephen raped her. Eventually, Claire guesses that the problem is that Brianna is pregnant. But Brianna doesn't know whose baby it is because she was with Roger and then later that same night, raped by captain asshole douchebag.
Later that night, Claire tells Jamie who is just utterly livid. The next day, Roger finally makes it to Fraser's Ridge. Lizzie tell Jamie that he is the man who raped Brianna because he was the only man she saw.
Jamie beats him nearly to death and then instructs Ian to get rid of the body.
Somewhere in this timeline (I cannot remember where) Claire finds her ring among Brianna things and confronts her about it. This is where Brianna tells her it was Bonnet who raped her. And she's upset because maybe she didn't fight back hard enough, or do more to cause him to stop. It's fairly heart breaking.
I really liked this episode. I just want everyone to be together and happy. And I got a lot of that this episode, so I'll take it!
