The Vampire Diaries 1X4: Family Ties

You guys know I try really hard not to spoil things from other shows during reactions (because I've been burned by other reactors this way before), BUT (and this is barely even a spoiler, but I still want to draw attention to it), do you remember when I hated Brooke? I'm wondering if Damon is going to end up like that. Right now, I find him fairly gross and annoying, and like very little about him. But I think people like him? So maybe it's just a matter of time until I fall in line. Lol. But right now, I'm still far, far from Team Damon.

Speaking of Damon, it seems like one of his powers is causing people to dream things he wants them to. I feel like we saw this with Elena before, but now that he's doing it with Stefan as well, it's a pattern and not a coincidence.

There's some sort of Museum Ball that both Stefan and Damon get invited to. Damon because he forced blonde girl to invite him (I'm really gonna have to learn this girl's name- can someone tell me in the comments?- I'm much better at remembering when I see it written down), as he's been trying to get an invite forever.

Stefan and the guy he lives with discuss how they can kill Damon. Stefan says he can't because Damon is much stronger since he feeds on humans and Stefan feeds on animals. They concoct a plan to spike his drink with the same stuff that's in Elena's necklace.

The first go around doesn't work well, and Damon knows before he drinks it, but Stefan claimed that he expected that. And now the plan will work later on.

Anyway, at the museum, we find out why Damon wanted an invite so badly, he pulls some sort of gem out of box that he apparently put there himself years ago.

Um, you guys, Bonnie is learning actual witch powers! I love this so much. I really liked Bonnie before, but thrown in witch and all over a character. She's totally gonna end up my favorite character, isn't she?

Elena ends up seeing the bites and bruises on blonde girl and confronts her about Damon. She denies he meant to hurt her and leaves. Elena tells Damon to stay away from her, and then goes to Stefan and tells him he was right about Damon.

Damon, ends up trying to kill her for saying anything at all about him, and bites into her and immediately recoils, as Stefan put the V herb in HER drink to spike him. With Damon weak, they toss him in the room that's full of the herb and lock him in there.

And then, I get the question I've been asking for four episodes now, do the people in this universe know about vampire? And it seems like, yes, they do. Ahhhhh!
