Friday Night Lights 3X10: The Giving Tree

Proud of Landry for this. He's 100% right. Tyra knows exactly how he feels about her. I don't know if she's purposely taking advantage, but regardless, she IS taking advantage. I'm so glad Landry finally stood up for himself. Also, as much as I like and want them together (mostly because that's what Landry wants and I want to make him happy), it pissed me off that Tyra finds him attractive when he's on stage, because other people find him attractive. Ugh. Tyra, girl, you've been making a lot of mistakes lately.

I'm on Lyla's side here. I do think she is somewhat spoiled, but I don't think this is an example of it. If you're told by your parents your whole like, college is paid for, and right before it's time to leave for college, you're told the money is gone (and not even on something important), you have every right to be pissed off. He left her no time to come up with a back up plan. Had she known there was no money, she could have been applying for scholarships or work study or something!

I don't really love the talk Tami and Julie had about her having sex, but I think it was probably the best we could hope for out of Tami. I think it's hard for me to relate because I don't have kids and I tend to think (maybe because I don't have kids) that as long as everything is safe and consensual, there's really no reason a 17 year old shouldn't be having sex. (Again, as long as everything is safe and consensual).

Are we worried about Wade taking over after Eric got expelled? I'm concerned that he's trying to move in on Eric's job. It seems like the town still hasn't forgiven him to leaving, so they might be open to replacing him if they found someone else who could do the job as well as he could.

We are leading up to an explosion with J.D.'s dad, right? It's only a matter of time. He's way too controlling. At least mom seems to be on J.D.'s side.
