This episode was kind of, meh. I think I just need some time for Jamie and Claire to be together. It wasn't really bad, per se. Just not what I was looking for this episode, especially after them being apart for last episode as well (although, I enjoyed that episode much more).
So John is back and has brought Willie with him. He claims they are traveling nearby and thought he'd stop over and see Jamie. He and Claire have a bit of tension though, as they are both in love with the same man.
Turns out, John ends up coming down with the measles, so Jamie must take Willie away for a week so he doesn't catch it. The two go exploring the land. They hunt and fish, while they wait for John to recover. One morning, Jamie wakes up to find Willie gone, and finds him in Cherokee territory having stolen one of their fish. The Cherokee show up hell bent on blood. Jamie tells him to take him and leave the boy alone. Willie then attempts to sacrifice himself for Jaime, and this seems to appease the tribe well enough and they leave.
Meanwhile, Claire is tending to John and, in his fever delirium, says some things that he regrets when the fever breaks. He tells Claire that Jamie offered himself to John in exchange for taking care of Willie.
By the time they leave, it seems like he and Claire are in a better place, but I'm still happy to see them go. Although, I am happy for Jamie having gotten to see Willie (and Willie remembered him!).
Afterward, Claire and Jamie do get some time together, but I needed more!
And what's going on with Brianna? We know she came through the stones? Where is she now? (Don't tell me.)
