Friday Night Lights 3X9: Game of the Week

So, this week's game is getting national attention. After not doing super well in the first half, Eric puts Matt in at wide receiver. And between him, and Tim, the manage to pull out a victory. (Plus Matt threw a block that was awesome, but also scary when you think back to Jason and how this show started). They ended up winning by a small margin.
Totally knew that Cash was shady as shit. I did not have him pegged for abuse though. I was totally unsurprised when we saw he was deep in debt and just figured that was the thing. Was not expecting how this turned out. Good on Tyra for realizing it for what it was and leaving immediately. This poor girl just cannot catch a break with men. Damn.
Tim Riggins is going to college! I truly didn't think he'd even get his shit together to make this happen. Honestly, I really like Tim, both as a character and as a person, but he's such a self sabotaging person. And I totally relate to the whole, if you don't really try, you can't fail attitude Lyla accused him of. I'm sure that's partially true as well. But I'm proud of him.
Also, watching Lyla be drunk, was fun. She likes to be in control and it's always nice to see characters out of their usual element. Plus, I like to see her confident. She's usually much harder on herself than she is on other characters.
