Is it just me, or did something seem a little off between Claire and Jamie in the beginning of this episode? I can't figure out exactly what it is, but it's something, I think.

For as much as Claire and Jamie were apart this episode, I quite enjoyed it. I'm surprised. But, still, we know that them being apart only causes chaos.

While Claire is delivering a baby, the inhabitants of the house, go crazy because Cherokee are using a creek in on their property to hydrate their horses. Claire keeps the peace as best she can, and the Cherokee agree to leave because Claire is the wife of Bear Killer.

Shortly after, the baby, her mother and some else die of measles. The father is enraged and is convinced that the Cherokee cursed them, and scalps their healer (and Claire's only real friend) in retaliation. This forces the Cherokee to kill him, his wife, and burn down their house. I'm a little concerned about what this might mean for Claire since she convinced the Cherokee to go somewhere else, and it may appear as if she was on the side of Mueller.

Meanwhile, Jamie goes into town to try to get settlers for his land. He's not having any luck, but then he runs into Murtagh, who is the local blacksmith. Jamie tries to convince him to come back to Fraser's Ridge with them, but he's too busy starting a rebellion. Eventually, though, he does show up.

And Brianna has gone through the stones to warn her parents about the devastation awaiting them. I'm really looking forward to her and Jamie seeing each other. It's gonna be rough for Brianna to figure out how to get from Inverness to North Carolina without a Jamie to guide but, hopefully she can figure it out.
