Arrow 2X21: City of Blood

Wow. Things sure happen quickly when your opponent dies. Both Moira's funeral (which Oliver didn't attend), and Blood's swearing in ceremony happen simultaneously. Laurel goes to her dad and tells him she's sure something off about Blood. They end up bugging (?) his computer and find out he knew Moira was gonna die before she did, so obviously he was working with Slade.

Oliver decides he's going to turn himself over to Slade to protect everyone else. (Which is a terrible idea, the city is full of Blood's men hopped up on Mirakuru- we need the Arrow). Thankfully, Dig and Felicity tranquilize him and foil his plans.

Laurel ends up telling Oliver what she knows (and also that she's knows he's the Arrow), and Oliver goes to talk to Blood. At this point, so many people know the secret. Just tell Thea and things can go on as normal! Oliver changes his mind and decides they need to kill Slade.

They decide to blow up the underground tunnels that the army is using, which will theoretically trap them. However, complications arise. Oliver and Laurel are trapped, and Dig is confronted by Isabel, who is all Deathstroked up. Meanwhile, in the van Felicity gets a call from the lab, which I can only assume is about the cure!

I'm guessing that Slade is going after Sara (the one more person to kill before he kills Oliver), but that she's gonna show back up with Malcolm. I still can't guess how Oliver's kid fits into all this, though. (Don't tell me.)

I really loved the Oliver and Felicity scene! And her continuing to hold his hand as he was leaving. She didn't want to let him go. She really is the light to his dark. They balance each other so well.

Finally caught up! I watched this season live and on Twitter. It was so fun speculating with Twitter peeps about how everything was going to go down and who the one person was that Slade was talking about. Can't wait for the next episodes!

I was fine with Roy joining Team Arrow, because he's useful and has skills. Same with Sara. I love Thea, but what would she do? I do like Thea, so ultimately I would be ok with it, but Laurel trying to join the group to go in the field is ridiculous. She says she will be the eyes and ears. The disrespect to Felicity is so annoying. Oliver has to literally drag her around by her hand when she shows up after being told to stay put. For good reason!

Can't wait for the next two episodes! So much exciting stuff! Arrow always knows how to end a season!
