Added 2024-06-20 19:00:09 +0000 UTCUgh. I really, really thought Matt was gonna score and they were gonna win that game. He looked so utterly crushed when he realized he fumbled in the end zone. Plus, he's already got this pressure of being replaced by J.D. At least Julie was there to pick him up. I like that they are getting close again.
I understand both Eric's and Tami's POV on the bbq. (Which I think is part of why this show works so well, they both often have valid arguments for whatever it is they want to do, and you can't really just dismiss one out of hand). Eric knows what this is gonna look like (and he's really being scrutinized heavily right now), and Tami needs a break.
Maybe I'm biased because I like Lyla and Tim together, but I think Lyla is right. Most people don't know the Tim that she does. And I know I always say I don't tend to like the trope of 'guy hates everyone expect perfect girl he likes', I don't think falls into that category. It's just literally people not seeing all the good stuff Tim does and only pointing out the bad.
Poor Smash. He really just wants to do right by his mom. And I loved that scene. They were both lovely in it.
