Ah the Duke, always willing to switch sides for the right motivation. Um, also, did I understand this correctly, he owed money but didn't have any so he offered Claire and Mary as payment?!?! But Murtagh FTW.
Also, I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but do we think Claire telling Mary that she needs to grow up or toughen up (I can't remember exactly) directly led to her being able to stab the asshole that raped her? I'm going with yes. Plus, I love that they took Mary along when they left. I mean, I'm not looking forward to her getting with Randall, but I do like that she and Jamie keep 'collecting' children and treating them as their own.
I wonder how many times this, 'I'm an proper English lady who's been captured by these brutes,' routine will work. Lol.
