Totally get both sides of the argument with Smash and his mom. I think they could totally comprise on this though. As long as Smash isn't doing super shit with these recruiters (like it looked like he was about to do before Eric showed up at the diner).
For the first time, I really think that Buddy as a soul. I really believe he wants to help Santiago, not just for the football team, for him. I was especially touched when he said this was the first time he'd ever had a bed. This is a nice way to start making amends for Buddy.
This episode was mostly fine. I feel like I talk more about college athletes and why they should get paid/how money is dispersed than the actual episode, though Lol

That seems likely. Julie just kept saying he was with his new girlfriend and I ran with it. But I don't think they are anything serious.
