Outlander 2X6: Best Laid Schemes...

And yet another person is totally on board with Claire's story. It's interesting how everyone in the 1700s is more willing to accept it than Frank was. I mean, he did, but it took much more convincing it seems like.

And yet another instance of a plan going correctly, but then something else happening to screw it up. Here, we have the small pox symptoms working, but they find out in enough time to hide it, so now we have to steal the wine. I didn't get what was happening there until way late in the game. But I LOVED watching Murtagh get dressed.

I'm concerned for Fergus. I think he was alone with Randall. That can't be good for him. But Jamie realized he was there and reconstituted the duel. Claire finds out and is PISSED. She demands they drive her to the duel (all while she's in pain). And gets there in time to see Jamie stab Randall in the dick, which was fairly satisfying.

The police show up (just as Claire feared they would) and arrest Jamie just as Claire is hemorrhaging and collapses.

I'm very concerned for what this means about Jamie and Claire. In the beginning of the episode Jamie made her promise she'd go back through the stones if anything happened to to him and let Frank take care of her and the baby. What if he means because of this?!? I do not want to watch her with Frank next episode!

I have never watched a show that I have never seen for the first time with a reactor. I watch reactions to kind of re-live the experience of how I felt at certain moments or how I felt about something overall. You are my first Outlander reactor and the reason I joined Patreon. I'm loving every minute. Your reaction to Jamie and Claire and their incredible love story is how I felt.

Great episode! I LOVE your thumbnail!

To be fair, people in the 18th century believed in fairies, witches, and the supernatural and were hard believers in religion, so I think that probably had something to do with it. Frank is a man of rationality and academics.

Oh good! Because that's exactly what I was thinking! I'm so appreciative, thank you! It's nice that they see it too. I feel validated! And I love you for that! ❤️

You did! You said, "that's what I keep saying." I was proud of myself for not spoiling that scene everytime you would say that, lol. I felt bad that you were so anxious that I wanted to make you feel better.

Did I react to that in this episode? I can't remember. But I certainly thought it! You know, I'm kind of glad I didn't either. Don't let me bully you in the future into giving me clues! (I may have tried that in the past. Eek!) And all I've been doing is speculating, so it's totally working!

"Bad things tend to happen when we're apart." I've been waiting for you to see that scene. You've been saying those exact words since the middle of season 1, lol. I really love the rest of season. I thought the first half was good, but the second half is great! I'm sort of glad you didn't read the book first. I love hearing you try to piece together where everything is going, which I think was the point of seeing the flashforward in 1948. It inspires speculation.
