Friday Night Lights 2X5: Let's Get It On
Added 2024-05-07 21:50:39 +0000 UTCI think maybe it was a little too easy to convince Jason to skip the surgery. Also, it seemed like it was mostly his decision and I'm not sure how much influence either Tim or Lyla actually had on it.
Landry on the team is awesome. It came a little out of nowhere, but I guess Eric is better at seeing talent than that other coach. I'd much prefer to watch Landry play football than try to deal with the fact that he killed Tyra's attacker. But honestly, all his scenes in this episode were good. But again, I might be biased because I love Landry.
I'm surprised about how much animosity there was towards Eric. I just assumed that be happy he came back. Never, in a million years did I expect Matt to tell him he used to team to get to TMU and that he and his daughter are the same. But it totally worked in the moment.
Proud of Matt for telling Julie that he didn't wanna hang out with her because he was still pissed at her. I don't think he would have been able to do that last season.

I think it makes sense for some of the team to feel butter towards Eric, they may feel like now they’re his 2nd choice even if they didn’t like the new coach. I was glad Matt finally spoke up on what he felt to both Eric and Julie. My heart breaks for Landry and Tyra, his dad really made the wrong move here imo.

It was developed by Jason Katmis, who was the head writer and executive producer of FNL. The cast is great, notably they have Lorelai from Gilmore Girls, Bobby from 911, and the rest of the cast is super talented too. They also have lots of guest stars from the FNL cast pop up during the run of the show, which always made me so excited to see them.
