9-1-1 2X1: Under Pressure

But his sister is here, and it seems like she is going to stay since she took a job as a 9-1-1 operator. I hope this doesn't mean that Abby is planning to stay gone all season.
I'm not actually sure why Athena is so resistant to being seen in public with Bobby. First off, it's Bobby! I'd wanna show that guy off! But mostly because she gave like a dozen reasons why and I have no idea which is the actual truth.
Also, I think it's obvious that I would 100% pick Bobby to be the firefighter in the station who makes the calendar. I just looked up the actor he's 58 now, so he would have been around 50 when this episode aired. Why does everyone on this show look so good? It's crazy.
It seems like it didn't take Buck long to get over his envy for the new guy. Hopefully, that keeps going because I could see the two of them making a really good team.
And speaking of good teams, I really hope that Buck and Bobby's relationship doesn't suffer now that he's spending more time with Athena. I love the mentor-esque relationship they've got going on.
They really tied this earthquake in nicely to the beginning of the episode.

as weird as it is to say, you kinda get used to earthquakes. i from San Diego and the last big one we had was Easter several years back and my floor buckled and i was literally just laughing cause my mom did have a little freak out while i stood in the doorframe but my brother didn’t even move off the couch, just watched as our standing clock fell over. i think for this one i would have had a reaction but i know many people like Athena who even during the big ones they’re perfectly calm.

2024-08-31 02:32:24 +0000 UTCYes! That always drives me crazy. Life is full of drama to pull from for TV. (Especially in a show like this). You don't need to make the characters break up and get back together for story content. Sometimes it's okay to just let people be happy.

I just recently discovered it myself a couple of months ago from tiktok. Season 2 and 3 are two of my favorite seasons. Looking forward to your reactions!

2024-05-07 06:25:47 +0000 UTCso excited season 2 is here! yes eddie and maddie are here to stay! i normally don’t like new characters coming into shows but it’s so seamless with them. in no time at all, it feels like they’ve been here all along. that scene of hen telling chim what photo she submitted of him for the calendar always gets me too. it’s just so sweet! i think you were pretty spot on with what you said towards the end. this show really doesn’t do pointless relationship drama (aside from that dumb cheating arc for hen) which is why i love it so much. it can find the drama in situations without making the characters act out of character for the most part.
