Outlander 1X10: By the Pricking of My Thumbs

Okay. Claire is never allowed to be apart from Jamie. Every time they split up, something terrible happens to her. Lol.

I really loved the scene when Jamie found her up on the hill with the baby. It's like he's trying to make sure that she stays safe in 1743, but also really wants to make sure she remains the woman she is.

Laoghaire is a spiteful one, huh? One kiss from Jamie a month ago doesn't in any way make him her man. She knows the only way she can get him is if Claire is dead or gone.

I felt they did a great job in showing Claire's struggle with guilt regarding her feelings for Jamie in relation to Frank, but they have also captured how perfect Jamie and Claire are for one another that I never needed closure on Frank's end to fully root for Jamie and Claire. Sorry, Frank. I give you no thought.

Colum banished Dougal to his own home/his wife's home. The one he had his "homely" wife banished to, so that he was free to do what he wanted. He didn't live there. He lived separately from his wife at Castle Leoch. The duel was more of a sham duel. It was predecided. "There will be shots fired, but nobody will be hurt.” The men are only dueling until one party apologizes or one party dies. The Duke apologizes at the first opportunity and it is accepted, ending the duel. Honestly, it's not that important. It was mostly just a plot device to get Jamie and the sons involved, so that Colum had a reason to send Jamie away with Dougal. I did love the Duke's line to Jamie. "Do tell your wife it wasn't my fault." Lol. Respect. Feel free to fuck up Leery's (yes, I know this isn't how it's spelled) name all you want lol.

Totally a side note, but, another show to check out (if you haven't seen it) is "Victoria". It's about, well, Queen Victoria--or her early years.
