One Tree Hill 3X10: Brave New World
Added 2024-03-22 20:16:26 +0000 UTCI guess after the gift I was given last week, there was really nowhere to go but down. Sigh. This was not my favorite episode. But, that said, I totally see why people love S3!
Holy shit. I did not really expect Deb to confess. And I only sort of get why Nathan is upset. Lol. But who is the mystery person who is also in on this attempted murder?!?
Poor Brooke. She was so excited she really didn't think this through. But it's obvious that she's on the right path. She just needed more time before the launch. But I think this is a fairly easy fix for the future. I really hope she doesn't actually give this up. (And honestly, as annoyed as I was at her for bossing everyone around, it was kind of fun to see the 'old' Brooke in action).
And I still feel very, meh, about the Peyton and her mom storyline.
Also, fuck Dan. If it turns out that he is, in any way, responsible for Haley and Nathan not getting back together, I will light him on fire myself.

Yeah...OTH originally aired on The WB for the first 3 seasons, so everyone was holding their breath this season that it was gonna be one of the shows that was picked up for the merger. Thankfully it all worked out. Glad you enjoyed the fun recap!!!

2024-03-31 21:28:53 +0000 UTCOh, it was one of the merger shows? I did not realize that. They definitely did it well, as I was completely consumed by it!

2024-03-28 22:30:38 +0000 UTCI love it when shows write to an actor/actress's strengths. Seems like they are doing that a lot on this show.

2024-03-28 22:29:39 +0000 UTCYes....Haley's new song "Halo" was most definitely the highlight for sure. And the fact that we got to hear the entirety of it, and it played as the coda for the episode was a win for sure. That song still slays after all this time. It was just perfect for the character and the story that Haley would have written a song like Halo for Nathan during this time :)

2024-03-23 22:02:32 +0000 UTCYes...the beginning recap for this episode played more like a trailer for the show, as well as an introduction and selling point for not only S3 but the overall show as well, and it was done on purpose for two distinct reasons. One being to hopefully attract new and casual fans who might not have been tuning in regularly for the series yet, so by recapping everything that had gone on so far, they would hopefully be inclined to watch, and two (and mostly the main reason) being that word was starting to get out that a deal was being finalized that was going to merge The WB network (which OTH aired on at the time) with The UPN network to create The CW that was set to launch the following year. So obviously every exec on both networks wanted to strengthen their position to get picked up for the new network, so OTH strategically put together a selling point for the show. I think it was definitely very thought out and well done, and hopefully you enjoyed the overall recap up to that point as well. I know the fans sure did, as it created an extra buzz that's always good :)

2024-03-23 21:48:04 +0000 UTCThe recap was kinda crazy, because when played on TV they would have mid season breaks and this was one of those episodes back for a new episode!

2024-03-23 04:54:36 +0000 UTCProbably my fav part of the epi was that we got to hear Haley's song, "Halo" all the way through. Only got a snippet of it in the last episode and was bummed it got cut off. I love that song. ❤️

2024-03-23 00:48:55 +0000 UTCGlad it wasn't just me. I'm so not in on this Peyton storyline, and it was so much of the episode. But it's been such a great run of episodes lately that I can't really complain!

2024-03-22 22:28:51 +0000 UTCThis was my least favorite episode of the season, but still can't wait to watch later. Didn't care too much about the Peyton and Lucas stuff here (it was a lot) and all the flashbacks. Also, not a lot of interactions between my fav relationships. Hopefully, next week's epis make up for this one. I really love the rest of the season. 🤗
