Also, she's getting a taste of what it's like to be friends with someone who's just barely old enough to drink. She already has a daughter, she doesn't need another one!
That said, are she and the author going to become a thing?!? I mean he's married, but it would get her the hell away from Thad, which I'm a big fan of.
