I’m not sure if it’s technically correct but it helps me to understand: I like to think of time as a line, stretching all the way back to the past and forward to the future. Every point on the line is happening simultaneously—it just depends on which point you’re at, and that is your Present. In this case, Logan went back to the past, so that past became his present, and the future he came from became his past (since we call everything that has already happened ‘the past.’) But for Storm and the others, after Logan left, that “future” is still their ongoing present. Though I’ve heard from somewhere that time isn’t like concrete and takes time to settle, the moment Raven decided to spare the bad guy, the horrible future Logan came from was erased. So I think major turning points like that do have an instant effect, since everything is happening all at once. Hope this helps :)
