Arcane Season 2 Ep: 7-9 (FULL REACTION)

I adored this finale!! I was really sad to see some of my favourite characters go but it was super satisfying seeing everyone come together. I loved seeing a timeline where everyone was happier and the final episode was just epic! Enjoy :)

Arcane Season 2 Ep: 7-9 (FULL REACTION)

Ah, thank you! That makes sense. I had totally forgotten that quote about the origins of Piltover by the second season. Thanks for kindly explaining.

Maisie

As someone that watched just the show I think the introduction of Black Rose is to further the fact there is a wider world outside of Piltover. They are also linked to Ambessa and why she wanted weaponized hextech. It makes sense that for someone so good at war that the only people that she is afraid of and couldn’t beat on her own were those with magic. Also in season one they talk about magic, and how Piltover was built to “escape the warmongering of mages” so right there in the very beginning they are telling us that there are other mage in existent and they aren’t too friendly. In a world where there is magic its generally safe to assume there is different forms of it that come from different sources and origins.

Arion Floyd

I understand that. The thing is, as someone who's watching the show as a stand-alone and knows nothing about the LOL universe, they didn't really take the time to introduce the concepts for new viewers--and they do claim it is a stand-alone show. Maybe I missed it, but when were introduced to the idea that there are other mages? What is their magic if it's separate from the Arcane, which it seems to be? Why include the Black Rose in this show if it's not important to understand it fully for the plot? It's the screenwriting choices I'm questioning.

Maisie

Because this isn't the end of this universe. Mel is very obviously a mage. That's not even remotely hard to understand. The Black Rose will be expanded on in the other shows, particularly the one about Noxus.

Chimpman

I absolutely loved the first season, but the second season, especially the last three episodes, had me feeling whiplashed. Caitlin hates Jinx until she doesn't. She abandons Vi and then colludes with her without explanation for the turn around. Maybe I'm missing a lot, but I wish we'd gotten more time to understand what was happening. Mel is a what? The Black Rose is...huh? Too many things went unexplained or under-explained.

Maisie

I finally had a binge watch of this show. I had an old friend that really liked Jinx. Overall, I love the art style in this. I think my younger cousin played the video game. I will agree I wish it continued. But I did like how the creators ended the story.

Shané Kummer

Oh yes please, that show would be perfect for this channel with its focus on relationships and mental health topics!

I must say, Jayce and Victor's story is one of my favorite things about the show. Victor lets go of his humanity, but Jayce is the one to bring him back to it. The question, "Why do you persist? After everything I've done?" is a tearjerker on its own. Because Victor and Jayce were partners, and he knows that that person is still in there, hence the breaking of the shell. There is still some humanity in all of us, it's always going to be there no matter how much some will try their hardest to deny it. It reminds me of House M.D. (awesome show and great character moments), Dr. House this sarcastic, mostly-misanthropic person and this complete opposite of a best friend Dr. Wilson. Yet they have a friendship so strong that keeps them together seemingly regardless of anything that's thrown at them or whatever they do to each other. I find the similarities present in regards to the concept of a bond that is that strong to where you would want to do all in your power for the sake of that person no matter what happens. It's one my favorite lines that I've heard in any piece of media in recent years: "In all timelines, in all possibilities, only you can show me this."

Grinner

Damn that would be awesome so few reactors watch Buffy, though it can be cheesy it has awesome characters and story that would be brilliant

Even though Jinx is alive I still cry my eyes out at the scene of jinx falling…. And Good News the creators of Arcane have already announced that the next show has already been in the works for a year!! So hopefully it wont be too long till it comes out!

Corey Weiner

I love the ending, even so i am upset about Jinx, but i love how they put in little easter eggs lining up to her not dying. Caitlyn looking at the cooling system in the plans of the hexgate (so maybe she could´ve got out), of course the "The End" in Jinx style, and (my favourite one): the flying boat at the end, because jinx said in the very first episode of the series that she wants to fly one of those one day. (You could also say that the Chemist brought his daughter back, maybe he could have revived her as well, but this is very very thin.) But they are not spelling it out, it´s over to us viewers to build our one view. And maybe she is feeling like Vi can´t have her life if she is around because she always wants to protect her. (btw idc what some of you are saying if that could be true or not, but for me jinx is living, just for my own good) have a great day whoever read this here, wish you best of luck :)

Pardon that whole explanation was done with talk to text

So the three I Raven at the end looks like it stole corrupted hextech gem that Raven relate to one of the 3 leaders of noxus the fact it’s following Mel’s boats means she likely is one of the next stories so I would assume we get an expansion on her lineage. Knowing the lore is kind of a curse, but it does provide many ideas on where the story is most likely going to go. For example, we are definitely going to see singed again, unfortunately.

MJ Eid

Will you be having a poll for shows to replace Stranger Things and Arcane? I personally would love for you to react to Buffy.

Emery Sea

Yeah I honestly think there isn’t a destination like being redeemed. At least in this case, I think no character is really going to reach their best selves, it’s impossible. What’s fascinating is that Victors realisation about our humanity being broken and flawed but ultimately giving us purpose and will, applies to Jinx and all the other characters. Every character can never reach perfection, the point however is to just try and be better, even if you’ll never get there. You’ll never get redemption, but you can find peace and resolve knowing you’re trying.

Oscar

Arcane is such a rich show, and the finale definitely has so much to unpack. The fact that it dives into both personal and political stakes while keeping that deep emotional core makes it such a standout. I can totally imagine the gut punch when your favorite characters meet their end, especially because the show doesn’t shy away from the weight of those deaths, it really makes you feel the cost of everything that’s happening. The idea of seeing a “happier timeline” is interesting because it gives us this glimpse into what could’ve been. That final episode gives you a moment where, for just a second, it feels like everything could work out. It’s like a cruel tease of hope before the storm hits again. Seeing how the characters who survived still manage to come together, despite their losses and differences, really emphasizes how far they’ve come and how the bonds between them, no matter how broken, continue to be a driving force. As for the characters themselves, I think what hits hardest is how each of their arcs wraps up Vi’s growth, Jinx’s internal conflict, and Viktor’s struggle with his own humanity. The way the show portrays their traumas, desires, and moral conflicts shows that no one’s journey is simple. It’s not just a good vs. evil story, it’s about the grey area, where characters are constantly fighting their internal battles, and the lines blur between hero and villain. That complexity is one of the things that makes Arcane so impactful. And then there’s the visual storytelling, every battle, every character’s expression, the art of the city’s contrast between the wealth of Piltover and the struggle of Zaun. It’s just so layered. That final episode has this feeling of things coming full circle, but still leaving you wanting more because there are so many unresolved questions and paths yet to be explored. So, deep question for you: Do you think the ending really offers redemption for the characters, or is it just an illusion of hope before everything spirals again? And how does this finale set up Arcane’s future, do you think it points toward new alliances, or does it only hint at more conflict to come?

emigirl123

Ooh, I love this theory! The idea that Jinx might not be dead is so cool, especially with the hints you’ve mentioned. The shimmer-superspeed thing could totally explain how she escaped the explosion, it’d be just like her to use that ability at the last second to survive. Plus, Caitlyn holding the monkey bomb head and smiling at the hexgate schematics is a huge clue! It feels like she might have figured out Jinx’s survival. And that blimp reference? Perfect callback to Powder’s dream. It definitely leaves room for imagination, and it would be so fitting for Jinx’s chaotic story to continue in such a twisted way. What do you think her return would mean for the characters, especially Vi and Caitlyn?

emigirl123

That’s a really interesting take! It makes sense that Ambessa’s conflict with the Black Rose is tied to those deeper principles within Noxus, strength, courage, and perseverance. The whole magic vs. might struggle adds so much depth to the political landscape of the show. It sounds like the writers set up a lot of future potential with these factions, especially if they’re planning on diving deeper into Noxus leadership and the Black Rose in the spinoffs. Do you think the writers will redeem Ambessa’s storyline or expand on it more?

emigirl123

There is also a sketch in Powder's diary of them kissing. It's a very fast shot though. As well as Sketches and notes with Powders face with hearts around her in Ekko's workspace and his journal. Also her body language around him. It's subtle but I don't the writers wanted to outright say it.

1:35:38 when the song started I started screaming.. I love stray kids so damn much. and you saying that the song makes it so much better actually made me so happy

Belly

claggor: “trouble in paradise?” after he shoves powder off of him it isn’t obvious but by the tree where he painted the vi’s he told her he was from a different universe on the balcony he says “i used to dream of zaun like this” she is not confused and she says “i hope you will” when he says he will remember this she knows she is helping him get back to his time “can we pretend like it’s the first time” she is used to kissing him but he isn’t

Cori Curry

To lighten your mood a bit, theory goes that Jinx didn't actually die, let me explain rq: - Silco told her that killing is a cycle, and if she wanted to break the cycle, she should walk away. - Right before the explosion in the hexgates, you can see a small pink line move across, indicating she used her shimmer-superspeed to get away from the explosion - In the last scene of Caitlyn, you can see her holding the head of the monkey bomb, indicating that that piece survived. She's looking at the schematics of the hexgates, the vents to be more specific and then smiles. Cuz she figured out Jinx might still be alive. And finally, in ep 1 of season 1, powder said that one day, she was gonna ride in one of those blimps. Well would you look at that, the exact same blimp in the final shot of the show. So the chances of her being alive are actually really big, but at the end of the day, it's all up to our own imagination lol (Loved your reactions to it btw!!)

Jeltevv

Could you explain or show what proves this?

Oscar

Sucks that this is the final season cuz the show is so amazing BUT the creators have already confirmed more shows from this world that follow new characters while also continuing to follow some of the characters from arcane, so there’s a lot to look forward to!!!

Lizzie

Ambessa doesn’t disagree with piltover principles she disagrees with the black rose. They are explained better in actual league lore. I think the writers fumbled this story line a little but they will make up for it in the spinoffs noxus leadership is complicated but the black rose is like a shadow faction that uses magic to get ahead unlike most of noxus which believes that through strength and courage and perseverance (might vision and guile) anyone can rise to the top. Not using arcane abilities to hold others down. You can see how quickly a great warrior like ambessa fell once she lost the runes protecting her from magic.

MJ Eid

fun fact Ekko and Powder were already dating in that universe

Morgan Jackson

❤️ At some point maybe after this or stranger things can you please react to heartstopper?

Petra Marie

Hi everyone. I can't wait for my vacation. It's coming up. I'll definitely be watching this and your friends. A total binge watch these. ☺️

Shané Kummer

Ironic that you say that, apparently the finale was supposed to be 90 minutes long. But they were forced to cut 40 minutes of it. Resulting in a rather compressed feeling.
