Weekly Progress #35 and #36

I'm not going to lie. This is going to be a long post since I'm covering two weeks worth of work. So, let's just get right into it.

This Week's Completed Projects
The first project I finished was the night “It Came From Tumblr” video. The only thing I can really comment on is that though the video has one less skit compared to the previous videos, one joke in particular has a much longer running time than the previous entries.  That's about it. The video should come out around late June early July. Enjoy a few screen shots from the video.

Then next video I finished was “Kira Orders Pizza.” I'm not going to lie, I'm happy that I finally finished this video. This video project is almost six months old and was originally my entry for the Bad Jojokes collab, but  I took it out since almost everyone in the video was doing Kira jokes. This was also another video I had trouble working due to overflow errors. In order to get it fix, I had to uninstall several workshop items and had to correct a few of my posters in the scene. I also started adding more overlapping to my animations which I think is making them more smoother. With that said, the Kira video should come out early July.

The final video I finished was a Patreon Commission that has Rem drifting her car. Originally, I wanted her to drive a Suburu since it would be kinda of a sequel to the Ram Comforts Rem video, but the car didn't have rigging to it. In other words, animating it would be impossible and would look awkward. The video should have been out by now so you can watch the video here.

This Week's Ongoing Projects
Oh boy...where to begin? Let's talk about the Kizuna Ai video.

I believe I talked about this a few weeks ago, but I came up with a video idea involving the virtual Youtuber, Kizuna Ai. I finally got all of the necessary lines last Friday and began to animate the scenes. I started working on the video after I finished working on the Kira video, so I started to REALLY use overlapping in the video. I managed to use overlapping to a point where the animation looks ten times smoother than the Kira video! This was also the first video I worked on in which every location was a scene build. Hell, one scene build from the video took me A DAY to do! However, I'm really proud how the sets look. I will also say that the video feels more of a horror video than a parody, but then again, this could be classified as a dark comedy, so I can't really complain. With that said, I finished animating the scenes and will begin the lighting/rending process sometime today. Here are a few screen shots from the video.

The other video project I worked on was Nerv Headquarters Therapists. I believe I mentioned this project a few times in the past, but I finally mustered up the energy to work on the video. However, I failed to realize how long this video is going to be. This might be a three minute animation- maybe even longer! There's a lot of dialog in this video which will require a lot of lip syncing. Like the Kira and Kizuna Ai videos, I started using overlapping for the movements in the video which is adding some much needed smoothness for the video. There's absolutely no way I can finish this video next week or the week after. It's going to be a long video project. The plan is to work on the video in parallel with the other video projects until I feel confident enough I can finish the video within a week. With that said here are a few screenshots from the video.

The other video project I began working on is the “Yellow Heart's Date” video. This is a video project that I feel like it shouldn't take too long since the story is less “meaty” than the previous videos. Like the Kizuna Ai video, this video will also be done using nothing but scene builds. The scene build for this is much more simpler, though. I will begin animating the video after I finish the Kizuna Ai video-so I couldn't get a lot of progress done on the video. With that said, here are a few screenshots from the video.

The final thing I worked on is the script for the Witcher 3 review. From looking at the script, Jimmy and Geralt will be a main focus of the video along with a very brief explanation as to why Jimmy was kidnapped. I plan on voicing the lines very soon and will be begin animating the video sometime in the coming weeks. After that, I'll work on the Space Marines review than maybe a review on the first three Rebirth games.

This Week's New Ideas
In case you guys didn't know, I started supporting Gigguk on Patreon to receive some consultation for him involving the channel. He was impressed by the amount of work I put in the channel and gave me a few video ideas.  One video idea is a Behind the Scenes video which gives more insight as to the work I do for the animations- which isn't a bad idea.

The other was a list of anime parodies that might be worth looking into. He recommended that I make videos based on Sword Art Online, Attack on Titan, and Eromanga Sensei. I think the Sword Art Online video is doable since I did find a few SAO models on Deviant Art a few weeks ago and just need to port them. Attack on Titan is going to be tough since I cannot find any working model links for them. Finally, Eromanaga Sensei is also going to be tricky since the anime recently aired. Hell, I haven't found any MMD models for them yet.

The final idea I came up with is a Naruto x Senran Kagura parody. I know this sounds...cringey...but the purpose of the video is to have Naruto become a substitute teacher at Hanzo Academy and gets completely annoyed by how the girls in the Senran Kagura games act. I'm still brainstorming the structure of the video so it's still a work in progress for me.

That's it! Man! What a long post! However, I had to make up for missing last week's update post so it was necessary. With that said, thank you guys for reading and for your support!
