Weekly Progress #31
Added 2017-03-25 12:00:22 +0000 UTCWant to apologize for not posting the weekly progress yesterday. I was honestly too exhausted, so I couldn't write out the post. However, I'm full of energy, so let's get started!
This Week's Completed Projects
So I actually completed two projects this week. One is a ProzD video, and the other is the next Hyperdimension Neptunia animation. First, let me talk about the ProzD video.
A few weeks ago, I was watching a couple of ProzD's videos and I found an extremely funny one based on “Anime Love Triangles.” If you have not watched the video, I highly recommend checking it out! Anyway, the video was relatively straightforward. I had no problems animating any of the scenes. The only thing I could say is that I decided to make the last scene in the video...random. With that said, the video should come out the first or second week of June. Here are a few screenshots from the video.

The project that took up most of my time this week was the next Hyperdimension Neptunia animation “Uzume Loses Her Followers.” Despite the fact I had to wait a few weeks to finish the video since one of the voice actors messed up one of the lines, this was the first Neptunia video that didn't take me several weeks to animate. I think the reason why is because I'm getting a hang of lip syncing the dialog using the motion editor, which can be a real nuisance to work with. I would also like to say that one of the voice actresses in the video, Naomified, nailed down Orange Heart's performance in my opinion. With that said, “Uzume Loses Her Followers” should come out around late May or early June. With that said, here are some screenshots.

This Week's Ongoing Projects
Like I mentioned a few weeks ago, I will be changing the way I approach my anime parodies. If I know an anime is trending, then I have 13-15 weeks to make a parody of that anime provided that I have the models for it. One of the anime I decided to make fun of using this new strategy is Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. Since the Kanna model was the only Dragon Maid available at the time, I decided to make a parody using her. Basically for the video, a Mage and a Knight are sent to try to slay the dragon. However, when the Knight realizes that Kanna is the dragon they have to slay, he starts to have second thoughts.
This is the first animation I've animated this year that has some sort of action scenes in it. It was actually pretty fun animating them and I want to animate more in the future. What wasn't fun was animating Kanna. Kanna's model is fine, but the jacket that comes with the model flickers some black stuff occasionally. When I was talking with one of my friends, Zecon, about it in one of my streams, he attributed it to the jacket model clipping through itself. Either way, it was not fun trying to position the model so it would stop that. Nevertheless, I finished animating the main scene and only have a couple of smaller scenes left to animate. Hopefully I'll finish the animation by next week, but here are a few screenshots to hold you over.

Another thing I did this week was writing the script for a Code Geass parody based on Lelouch's return. I'm trying to see if I can get Purpleyeswtf to voice Lelouch and Suzaku for the video, but he failed to respond to an email that I sent him. If he does not respond, then I might talk to a few more voice actors about the role.
This Week's New Ideas
One idea this week involves Anasui from Jojo Part 6 coming to Joylene's/Jotaro's house for dinner. The purpose of the video is to make fun of the “Joestar Family Curse” or the curse in which every Joestar member either dies young or messes up in their marriage. I'm also going to try to see if I can get Kira Buckland to voice Joylene since she's a big Jojo fan. I've gotten her to voice in a few videos in the past, but she's an extremely busy person, so I might have some problems getting her to voice the role.
After doing some research, it seems like making a Monster Musume parody is the hot thing right now. So I've been brainstorming an overall plot for the video. The basic premise is that a redneck family adopts Miia assuming she will take care of their rodent problems. They soon find out that's not the case.

Anyway, I want to apologize again for not getting this out to you guys yesterday. I will still upload these progress posts Friday mornings and try not to slip up with these posts. If it turns out Friday postings are too much for me, then I'll push it back to Saturdays. Thank you guys for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day or night! See ya!
